ONTARIO >> After months of construction, Ontario Mills will unveil a new expanded shopping area called Fashion Alley Friday, April 29.

The 80,000-square-foot addition will house a California Welcome Center as well as a variety of name brand outlet stores and restaurants, including The North Face, Original Penguin, Samsonite, Uniqlo and Blaze Pizza.

Three of Ontario Mills’ current retailers, Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica and Coach will expand and relocate to the new area as well.

The stores and restaurants are being constructed in a space that formerly had been occupied by a JC Penney Outlet store. The majority of construction, which began last June, is taking place at the southwest side of the center.

“The Fashion Alley redevelopment demonstrates how committed we are to meeting the demands of the millions of shoppers that visit Ontario Mills each year,” Marc Smith, general manager and vice president for Ontario Mills, said in a statement. “Not only are we attracting new, internationally celebrated brands, we’re excited to see our current retailers grow and evolve with us.”

Shoppers can expect a variety of Fashion Alley stores to open April 29, with the remaining retailers to open throughout the summer. Fashion Alley will be located near the Fashion District, in between Off Broadway Shoes and Saks 5th Avenue’s OFF 5TH.

Ontario Mills has also added a new bus drop-off area for tour buses, located just outside the entrance to the California Welcome Center, to provide convenience for visitors traveling throughout Southern California to access the center.
