Gymnastics Announces Promotions for Opening Weekend

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Best Show in Town is back in Barnhill Arena, and the No. 13 Arkansas Gymnastics squad is excited to announce an exciting slate of promotions for its opening weekend of action. Following a second-place finish with a 195.150 team score at the Cancun Classic on Jan. 2, the Razorbacks return home to host SEC foe Georgia on Friday, Jan. 15 at 7:30 p.m., before taking on No. 1 Oklahoma on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m.

Join us for 2016 Opening Night as we take on No. 9 Georgia at 7:30 p.m., when the first 200 kids in attendance will receive the first of five collectible Gymback glow in the dark bracelets that will be given out at all five home meets throughout the season. Friday is Club Night, as all local gymnastics clubs and dance teams are welcomed to attend and receive $2 admission vouchers to the meet. It’s also Jr. Razorback Night, as members receive up to four complimentary tickets for their family members. The 2016 posters, schedule magnets and schedule cards will be available for fans to grab and take home.

Arkansas closes out opening weekend vs. top-ranked Oklahoma at 2 p.m. for American Girl Doll Day, where young fans are encouraged to bring their dolls and will also have the chance to take home one of five limited-edition American Girl Dolls throughout the meet. Sunday is Sweat Hogs Day, as members of the Sweat Hogs Program from Northwest Arkansas are welcomed to Barnhill Arena to receive $2 admission vouchers to the meet. Also, the first 200 kids in attendance will receive the second of five collectible Gymback glow in the dark bracelets.

Ticket packages for the exciting five-meet home schedule start at $25 for general admission, while fans can purchase reserved season tickets for $40.
