Sage McCoy has always been the type of guy who goes after what he wants. For years, what he’s desired most is to see his band, Mountains & Men, become more than Saturday night entertainment at a local bar. He swears he’ll chase that dream until it comes true, or he’ll die trying. Now, he senses that he and his mates are on the precipice of something amazing, and he’s never wanted anything more.

Except, perhaps, Millicent Valentine—the woman he craves above all others.

Millicent Valentine believes in one absolute truth: Men always leave. Yet, despite her belief that Sage will eventually tire of her, she can’t help but indulge her desire for him. She makes up her mind that he can have her body, but he isn’t allowed her heart. Though, she never anticipated that the leading man of Mountains & Men would be so much more than the arrogant little shit she imagined him to be.

[Worthy of the Harmony is NOT a standalone novel. It is best enjoyed AFTER you've read Encore Worthy. Intended for audiences 18+ years of age due to explicit language and sexual content.]

I was completely absorbed in this installment of Sage and Millie's story and was unable to put it down until the last page. So glad that I have the next book waiting after that ending. More of a review to come when I finish the series.

She's the harmony to my melody, and our song has just begun.
Sigh. In this installment of the Mountains & Men series, Sage and Millie's story continues to unfold. She's still plagued by doubts where Sage is concerned.
I know the pain of love more than I know or understand its joy.
But Sage doesn't let up in his pursuit of her, because well, he's an alpha and he knows what he wants.

Their relationship is such a wonderful mix of love, lust, and swirling emotion. I've definitely fallen for both of them.

While perhaps Sage and Millie's inner thoughts were repetitive at times, I'm tempted to break out cliches to describe just how much I loved the writing. I swear, words like beautiful, or even - gasp - exquisite are on the tip of my tongue.
Just like the night sky that seems to stretch on forever and ever, I can live beyond the limits of what I've seen - of what I've known.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

First coupled together in Encore Worthy, Millie and Sage are a duo most unlikely. Millicent is a college professor and Sage is the twenty-one year old lead singer of the band Mountains & Men. Millicent is a tough girl, she doesn't let people get too close to her and she knows one thing is true, men always leave. She's happy with Sage though, with the way things work between them, as long as he doesn't expect any more than she can give. Sage can finally see his dreams coming true with Mountains & Men, he though it would be all he ever needed, but with Millie he finds himself wanting more. He desires her above all else, but he doesn't know how to show her that not everyone leaves.

"Right now, I sing for her. Tonight, she's here for me. And the first chance I get, I'll give her a hell of a lot more than a song."

I was so excited for this book, because I equally loved Millie and Sage as individuals, it just so happens they are even better together. Millie has so many aspects to her that are honorable, that make her the kind of character you want to look up to, but she has so much she doesn't face in her life. She went through the most character development, from page one to the very end, she was a fluid character, ever changing. That doesn't mean she's healed from her past though and I love that R.C. Martin didn't just flip a switch and make everything okay, the series works because Millie is still finding out what from her past is a truth and what is a lie. Sage is so handsome, a true-alpha in that he goes after what he wants, but has the utmost respect for his companion as well. Getting a complete book with a lot of focus on his band was the best, I love Mountains & Men and I loved seeing the interactions, seeing them succeed. However, his situationship with Millie is definitely the focus of the novel. It is impossible to read these books and not see that these two are meant to be, they're each other's yin and yang. Things between them are hot hot hot, that's for sure.

"I will survive this fall. I will. Or so I keep telling myself."

Worthy of the Harmony took me a while to get into, which is unusual for me considering I am a huge R.C. Martin fan. The flow of the novel didn't work for me at first, but I stuck it out due to my love for Sage and it was worth it. Part of the draw of Sage and Millie was just how strong their chemistry was, but at times I felt their sexual chemistry out weighed the dialogue they shared. It was a given that Mountains & Men was going to be smutty and dirty, and I really loved that aspect of it, I just felt like it was a bit much. Given the length though, I think readers will welcome the smutty distraction from the angst and find it is more balanced for them than I felt it was for me.

"She's pushing me away. I don't know why, but I'm going to find out. She's mine and I won't have it any other way."

If you're looking for a sexy, angst-filled, rocker romance, the Mountains & Men series is sure to be a hit for you. Millie and Sage have eyes for only one another, but their journey to become one is a roller coaster.

RC Martin has me hooked on this series! This is honestly one of my top reads this year so far and I don't see that changing.

"She's the harmony to my melody, and our song has just begun."

Sage, oh how can I put into words what I feel for Sage. He has had me in love with him since we first met him in Encore Worthy. He is a sexy 21 year old college drop out who is pursuing his dreams making it big with his band, Mountains & Men. He is by far one of the sexiest band members I have read about.

Millie is a 26 year old college professor who has fallen for bad boy Sage. Millie does have concerns with their age difference but she can't deny the chemistry and attraction between the two. Millie also has doubts on love and relationships due to her childhood and also her relationship with her mother. She doesn't think she can fit into Sage's world but Sage is doing everything he can to prove to her that they fit.

"She makes my heart sing. When I'm with her, when I hold her in my arms, I know that I don't want anyone else-that no matter what, I'll fight for her."

I honestly can't say enough about this series. I am hooked on this series and the only complaint that I have is that I don't want to wait for the next book. It's that good. I will be anxiously awaiting and stalking the author til the next release.

"I sing to them. I sing with them. But I sing about you. I sing for you."

SYNOPSIS:

MY THOUGHTS:
Worthy of the Harmony is not a standalone novel. This is technically Book One of the Mountains & Men series. However, there's a prequel that must be read prior to reading this book or you'll miss the beginning of Sage and Millie's story.

All I can say is this series has me hooked. Thank goodness I was able to pick up this book after reading the prequel. This book picks right up where the last book left off, after Sage sang the song he wrote for Millie the night he met her. Talk about amazing chemistry! These two are so connected with each other and so crazy for each other, they burn up my e-reader!

"She's the harmony to my melody, and our song has just begun."

Sage courts Millie and he pushes her boundaries and he won’t give up on them. He is so sweet and he is so sure of his feelings for Millie that there is no question in his mind that they are going to be together for the long haul.

I read the prequel and I fell in love with Sage, so now through reading this book, I am head over heels for him. He is amazing! He is alpha, but he is sweet and he is always showing Millie such affection! He can’t keep his hands and lips off of her. He has to touch her whenever she is near.
Sage is musically gifted, classically trained in piano. He has an amazing tenor voice that even just speaking, he causes thrills to go through Millie. He was awarded a scholarship to Julliard, but turned it down because he believed in his band Mountains & Men. He attended college locally but dropped out, much to the displeasure of his parents, that couldn’t understand how he could not finish college and chase the hopeless dream of being in a band. He moved out of his parents’ house and moved in with his band mates. He has little contact with them except at holidays and birthdays, and he tries to keep it civil, but he has no time for the people who don’t support his dreams. His sisters are very supportive and love their brother very much. His youngest sister is his best friend and she provides hilarity in a few situations in this book. You also get to know the band members and their girlfriends.

Millie is losing her heart, no matter how hard she tries to guard it against the onslaught that is Sage and his affections. She has such a jaded sense of love and how men never stay. They always leave. This was pounded into head and heart by her awful mother! She has a love/hate relationship with her mother. She is so terrible to Millie, it’s no wonder that Millie left her home in New Jersey to get away from her mother and moved to Colorado. It’s this jaded view that is always in the back of her mind that Sage is there now, but he will eventually leave. She feels that she has already lost part of her heart to Sage, but can she give her whole heart and still survive when he leaves her.

Mountains &Men finally get their big break to go on a 6-week tour as an opening act for another big-name band, Lawful Sinners. They also get a chance to record and their first song they record is the song Sage wrote for Millie their first night together. Millie is worried about Sage going on tour, that constant feeling that he is going to leave, just like all men. She can’t allow herself to fall in love. She feels in her heart that Sage lives for performing and that he will move on from her. It’s too late. She has already fallen.

"She makes my heart sing. When I'm with her, when I hold her in my arms, I know that I don't want anyone else-that no matter what, I'll fight for her."

There is so much to this book! Not only the incredible love & chemistry between Sage and Millie, but the inner workings of the band, Sages family, Millie’s friends and her mom. That cliff hanger had my heart hurting. My chest actually burned. Thank goodness, I can jump into the next book right away!

I highly recommend this great series!

Review:
“He lies me on my bed and neither of us says a word, knowing that our need for one another supersedes anything that could possible be said. We’re done talking for the night.”

5 harmonious stars!! Beautiful and sexy… I was hooked from page one!

Sage is a firm believer is going after whatever you want full force. And right now he’s trying to get his band Mountains & Men into the spotlight. He swears he’ll die trying. This is something he’s always wanted, the only other thing he’s ever wanted more is Millicent. That girl can drive him to his knees, but he loves every second of it. Millie, doesn’t trust love so easy, she’s always been a believer that men always leave. And that’s what she keeps in the back of her mind when she hooks up with Sage. She’s willing to give him her body, but she’s keeping her heart fiercely guarded. But how long can she keep that up?

I was sucked into this book the minute I started reading and I didn’t put it down until the end! Sage is not like your typical rock star book boyfriend. He’s actually charming and down to earth which makes you fall in love with him more. And you feel for Millie and her attitude towards love, but you want her so badly to let Sage in. I’m hooked on this series, and I can’t wait to read more!!

Worthy of the Harmony is the first full-length novel in the Mountains and Men series by Author R. C. Martin. It is a rocker romance read.

"I'm the kind of woman who needs to hear the rich, alluring, sexy tone of my man's voice. It's what drew me to him in the first place. It's part of who we are."

Millie and Sage have a good thing going. They hook up, sex it up, and life goes on. It’s easy and convenient, no strings attached, no feelings to worry over. But, they have a unique connection that doesn’t quite fit this mantra for relationships; theirs is rare and special, but still with all the thrills.

"Come on Professor Valentine. Break some rules. Live a little! You know I'll make it worth your while."

I LOVED this book!! Told in dual points of view, Worthy of the Harmony was a rocker read like no other. The highs in the book were so explosive and tangible that I felt as if I were right there, in the thick of it all, taking part in their dreams. And, just like in Encore Worthy, when Sage dropped his sweet name for Millie, Doll Face, I melted into a puddle.
Being reintroduced to the band reminded me of the feel of being in one big family. They all had such tight friendships and admiration of one another. I cheered for them in their successes, and lowered the lights in homage to them when the going got rough. I loved that Millie was this solid, mostly predictable educator. Contrast Sage who, although educated, is a take-life-by-the-balls rocker. My heart broke for Millie as she tried to reconcile the immense passion Sage had for her with her own love encounters. But, Sage brought such a freshness and light to her life. It was like watching an awakening. There was no such thing as too much Sage. As impressive as his mouth was with lyrics, it was even more so when it came to his passion and endless desire for Millie. They both found the home in each other that they had never had, and brought out an insatiable and uncommon desire in one another. Filled with salacious laughter, scorching heat, and unquenchable love, Worthy of the Harmony is the perfect escape! I look forward to the continuation of the their story.

Disclosure: I received a copy from the author/publisher, in exchange for an honest review. This does not influence my review in any shape or form.

That cliffhanger though.

It took me over a month to finish Worthy of The Harmony. Why? I actually don’t know. I absolutely love R.C. Martin’s writing and she is one of the authors I turn to get me out of a reading slump however I just found myself putting down Worthy of the Harmony from time to time. This could’ve easily been read in a day, in fact it should’ve been.

Worthy of the Harmony is the continuation of Encore Worthy. We get a brief introduction to Sage and Millie’s story and in Worthy of the Harmony we get most of their story.

What I love most about the Mountains & Men series is that it’s so different from The Made For Love series in which this series is a spin off of. It’s sexier, edgier. R.C. Martin has the ability to write sweet, wholesome romances and the ability to write sexy, edgier, raw romances. They are so diverse yet both are executed with R.C. Marin’s writing and that I love so much.

Sage was a character we met in her Made For Love series and he’s a character that I needed to have a book. I NEEDED HIM TO BE FRONT AND CENTER. I was absolutely could not wait to read this book. He did not disappoint. He was definitely sexier (but we knew that already if you read Encore Worthy) but in WOH it was just so much more. He is definitely my favorite guy R.C. Martin has written thus far.

Millie was our main character and I love how real she was. I loved seeing her grow from the snippets we saw in So Much More to Worthy of The Harmony.

Sage and Millie together was just believable for me. We’ve seen it grow from Encore Worthy to Worthy of The Harmony. I cannot wait to see where their story goes from here.

I am looking forward to Worthy of Dissonance and you’ll see a review of it when it releases.

After reading Encore Worthy I was so excited for more Sage and Millie. As they continue to heat things up in this volume of the Mountains & Men, their relationship starts to change. As much as Millie wants to resist falling for Sage, it happens anyway. They both are in deep.
Then things for the band really begin to take off. They are made offers that will have the guys' dreams coming true. While Sage is seeing his dream become a reality, Millie realizes that she hasn't allowed herself to dream for fear of getting hurt again. When Millie convinces herself that she doesn't fit in with Sage's future, will she be able to save any part of her heart? Will Sage let her walk away?

This book has all the emotions. I felt the excitement of Sage as he took the stage and is finally getting noticed. His excitement was so contagious, I couldn't help but feel it too. I felt Millie letting go of the past that has hurt her so much, and her hope for the future. It was all looking so bright until doubt kicked in. My heart was literally ripped from my chest, thrown on the ground, and stomped on. I felt Sage's despair, Millie's attempt to hold on to her resolve. The absolute love she felt for him was clear while being scared to death that it will all disappear and she will never recover, because of the doubt put there by people from her past, his future and her own messed up version of love.
I stayed up way too late finishing this book because I absolutely couldn't put it down. I was so invested in these characters that I had to make sure they were going to be ok before I could even think of sleep. Well, I guess I'll have to wait until the fall,(really RC Martin the fall?) to find out if they will be ok. This series has me totally hooked. I crave more of the smooth and spicy Sage.

5 Standing Ovation Stars!!!

This is technically Book One of the Mountains and Men Series. However there's a prequel that MUST be read prior to reading this book or you'll miss the beginning of Sage and Millie's story. And what a story it is....

This book literally picks up exactly where we left off in Encore Worthy after the band has sung a song that Sage dedicated to Millie who he just met three weeks ago in what was supposed to be a "hook-up." But it became so much more than that for both of them. Only Sage was willing to admit it first.

This book was so good on a variety of levels. We get hot, burn your fingers as you're turning the pages sex, drama, angst and love all within the 250 plus pages. I found myself sitting down to read this and got pulled in from the very first page.

I loved how Sage knew what he wanted and wasn't going to let Millie deny what they have and could have. And to be honest I got a little irritated with Millie at certain points, especially the ending, because while she admits to herself the one-night stand has become more, she's so afraid of being hurt again. But here's the thing, Sage sees Millie unlike anyone ever has before which just endeared him to me even more.

There were also some things that totally threw me for a loop as I really didn't see them coming, but that's just what makes this book that much better because it kept me on my toes as I didn't want to miss anything that was going on in this amazing book.

Even though this is a cliffy, I would highly recommend this book as you'll be able to escape into a rock and roll world that isn't what we've all come to expect from a story like this.

The story of Sage and Millie is my new favorite by R.C. Martin. This hot new rocker series had me hooked and was hard to put down! It had the perfect blend of steamy romance as well as twists and turns that I didn't see coming. There were times I found myself yelling at my Kindle at both Millie and Sage. It definitely ensued into near Kindle rage at the end of the novel! I won't mention why, that is for you to find out and it well worth one clicking!
This is told through an alternating POV between Millie and Sage. It allowed me to understand their background as individuals and relate to both of them in some way. I found that I was more connected to Millie and could comprehend why she was guarded when it came to opening her heart to love and allowing her walls to broken down.

" They always leave" Something that I am sure most of us can relate to at some point in our lives. It hits home. She also has a rough relationship with her mother that is estranged on a certain level, so Millie keeps her mother at a safe distance. Can they ever have the conventional mother /daughter relationship? One can only hope.
The only thing I found as a disconnect in this book is how hot the book started out and then fell cold at the end. Millie.....Oh, MILLIE!!!! Don't leave us hanging too long, R.C.! I cannot wait for Fall 2016 for the continuation of Millie and Sage to see what lies in store for them.

This is book one in RC's Mountains and Men series. I read the novella which was the start of Millie and Sage's relationship. This book picks up right where the novella left off. Milie and Sage are just coming into their relationship and things are still bumpy with the new love. In this book, you get all the heartbreak, the love, the angst and the steamy sex. Millie has a first class ticket on the hot mess express - but I love everything about her. She's strong and stubborn but wants to love and be loved she just doesn't know how. Sage is a hottie who can literally melt the panties off any warm-blooded woman. He loves Millie with every fiber of his being and just needs to figure out how to keep her around. Their story is flawed and crazy but so are they. I will tell you that this is a cliffy and as much as I hate cliffy's, this book is a 5+++ star book. RC Martin is a master at making you love to hate characters all while keeping you on the edge of hopeful that they will do something to change your mind. This book put my emotions through the ringer. There was lots of sex, some cries and some laughs. Perfect start to what is going to be an AMAZING series.

This is a story of an up and coming rock... Oh and I didn't read the first book before this one and I was fine. Sage and the boys are playing every bar they can just to catch the right attention. It eventually works out for them and they couldn't be happier. I fell for the Sage and the boys super hard. Sage especially.. He is a man who knows what he wants, when he wants and how.. He could dirty talk to me anyday.
Millie has so many issues and most of them fall from her mother. Her father left them and lets just say her mom never recovered. She has been feeding Millie a bunch of crap for years. Millie, has focused on her career rather than finding a man to settle down with. That all changes when she meets Sage. He makes her want more but she can't get over all the words her mother has spoken. I hate saying this but I wasn't super crazy about Millie. She just kind of ann0yed me. I just couldn't see how she couldn't let go and fall for a dirty talkin rock star.. Oh well. I enjoyed reading it regardless.

This is a fantastic continuation of the story of Sage and Millie's relationship. I was dying to find out more of Millie's story. At this moment I'm heartbroken.
I could swing for Millie right now. I'm angry at her for breaking my poor Sage's heart with her doubts and her instinct to push away the best thing she's ever known. I have had my heart and brain put through a mangle in this book. Sage is just so perfect. He is everything and more, with his sexy body, sexy words and sexy voice. I would drop my life for him in a heart beat. I so feel for Millicent, her past has really messed with her head. She really believes that Sage will leave her. Silly woman. It's a real life struggle to not be able to reach into the pages and give her a good talking to. A real struggle I can tell you.
I can't wait to read more about Sage and his words of love and utter filth. He has me hook, line and sinker! The story flows along effortlessly and is truly great. I am loving these characters. I'm even dreaming them.

I can't get enough of Sage!

Wow! This book is amazing! The chemistry between Sage and Millie is so explosive!
"Men always leave." Millie's mother has been telling Millie this her whole life, so of course she believes it. She feels the connection with Sage, but is determined not to fall in love with him. How long can she keep her walls around her heart guarded?
Sage is the lead singer for Mountains & Men, and is destined for great things. It's his dream. He wants to share it with his girl, Millie. Sage wants to be with Millie as he rises to fame. She's his muse. "She's the harmony to my melody, and our song has just begun." That has to be my favorite quote in the book. Has their song just begun, or will Millie continue to fight her feelings for Safe? Will Sage continue to fight for Millie, and convince her that she's the one for him? I can't wait to continue this saga with Worthy of the Dissonance!

4.5 STAR READ!!

"She is the harmony to my melody and our song has just begun."

I freaking loved this book! Millie may be my favorite out of this group. I love how strong she is even thought she doesn't think she deserves Sage. Sage is not one of those rockstars that you would expect. Yes he parties and gets a little crazy, but when he makes Millie his, he doesn't have eyes for anyone else. Millie doesn't think she fits into Sages lifestyle and tries to walk away because she thinks it's best for him. I love that he does everything he can to show her that she is the one he wants. I love that this story was told in dual POV because I was able to get some of the past from both of the characters. I cannot wait to see what else RC has for me! I hope Maddox will be next for his own book!

I recieved an ARC in exchange for an honest review and in all honesty I was extremely thrilled to have the opportunity as I didn't want to have to wait a minute more for more of Sage and Millie's story. Full review will be on my Backstage Books blog during the release blitz. Easily 6 steaming hot stars, the only thing that I could possibly say I don't love about it is how long the wait is going to be for the next book in the series.

For mature, 18+ audiences only for incredibly well written explicit sexual scenes. The only thing better than getting to know the hearts and souls of these amazing MCs is being a voyeur in their romantic trysts.

Worthy of the Harmony is a continuation of Millie and Sage's story. As their story continues, they fall for each other more. Millie grows more confident in their relationship. As they learn about one another and Sage's band gets an opportunity of s lifetime. Millie lets her insecurities and the words of others fill her with doubts about her and Sage. The book ends with a cliffhanger I'm not happy with, but I'll be waiting to see what happens next.

This is the first book of a trilogy featuring the band Mountains & Men, most specifically, the lead singer, Sage, and the love of his life, Millie. The full series comprises a prequel (Encore Worthy), this book, as well as books Worthy of the Dissonance, and Worthy of the Melody. I reread this book -- actually this and books 0.5 and 2 -- when I got hold of a copy of book 3. (I'd read these originally in 2016.)

Sage McCoy is young and loving life as the lead singer of the rock band Mountains & Men. They're a local band, but could be on the verge of something big. Millicent (Millie) Valentine is a math professor at the local community college. She isn't looking for love. She had that dream killed by absent and unloving parents. She relies on the comfort and logic of numbers.

One night her friend drags her to the local bar the weekend Sage's band is playing. He decides she's the woman he'll have for the night. She's beautiful, but there's something about her that calls to him. He finds himself writing music in his head as they make love. Sage knows one night with Millie isn't going to be enough. He wants an encore. Thus starts their story.

Millie and Sage start a relationship, though she feels like a cradle-robber when she finds out Sage is five to six year her junior (she's 26; he 20/21). She figures it's just a fling -- easy with no strings attached. Millie can't let herself want more. Love means heartache, just ask her mother. Millie's father ran off and left her. He left Millie, too, with the unstable woman. She doesn't want to fall, but her heart doesn't pay attention to her head. Sage falls too. He's slowly breaking Millie out of her shell. He thinks he can help Millie overcome her issues so they can be happy. He doesn't care about the age difference. He wants Milie and a future with her. Still she's scared. Things come to a head when the band is offered a big break.

I loved this book. I fell for Millie and Sage in the prequel and fell even further as their story unfolded. The story is told in dual points of view so we know what Millie and Sage are feeling -- their love, their joy, their anguish, etc.

The book ends on a cliffhanger. When I first read the book I didn't know it was part of a trilogy -- I hate cliffhangers! -- but was lucky that the second book was out. I jumped on it! Onward to Worthy of the Dissonance.

BTW... One thing I didn't know is that the story of Sage and Millie is a spinoff (or continuation??) of the Made for Love series, during which Sage and Mountains & Men were introduced. I have not (yet) read that series, so I know that one doesn't have to have read it to enjoy this.

4.0 DOLLFACE STARS!!!
I’m yours when you want me. You hear me, Millicent? I’m yours.

Once again, I enjoyed reading R.C Martin's work. I must admit that after reading Encore Worthy I am very eager to read the next book because I was left high and dry after reading the introductory novella. So a DEFINITE YES to this because damn this was just what I needed after a long day at work. This was a fun and light read with a little angst and full of fanning moments that will surely melt your panties and made your toes curl. But more than that lies a beautiful story that will touch you and made you feel for them.

So, Worthy of Harmony is a rocker romance that follows the story of Sage and Millie whom we met a while back in the previous book Encore Worthy. Their journey of life is one of a kind. I tell you, it was difficult for me at first to read this because really I have issues with age gaps and all but this just applies to heroine who is older than the hero. I mean it's hot knowing the lead man is older that the woman but not otherwise or so I think...but man I was so damn WRONG! Their chemistry is undeniable and hotter than I thought possible. Those sizzling hot sex scenes...
*fanning

And oh a much hotter scenes in the laundry room!!! Hoooooot!!!

and the sweetest of all...those moments in the field...and this holding hands...*swoon

“And in my arms you’ll find your ecstasy
When you lose yourself,
I’ll set you free Baby,
just let go and let it be, let it be Tonight
Just give me tonight.”

But more than those things are the issues that lingers behind all the sizzling hotness...
That’s life. The thrill of the unknown is why the dive is worth taking . What’s the point of living if you aren’t going to jump?

Millie and Chase both have dealt a baggage. So far for Sage, he's chasing his dream and the girl he wanted...baggage be damned. For him, Millie is the one...the one who sees him..believes in him and gets him...Millie might think she didn't fit but she does. If only, she will realize though..If only she truly believes and trusts what they have..If only she'll forget those fears of being hurt and broken....

When finally, he thought he has it all planned out and straightened with Millie, that's when she called it quits. It really made my heart quench. Those lines that were exchanged?so much emotion was there. No I wasn't sobbing but I cannot deny the tear that slipped and that ache in my heart that made me stopped reading because damn I needed a moment.*Sigh

I worked my ass off to get her. I’ll work my ass off to keep her. She’s the harmony to my melody, and our song has just begun.

To top it all, I really love the book. It's very entertaining ..of course with the hotness overload bonus. ;) My only complaint though is the chasing and the pushing parts. I was bothered by it. I wanted to knock some sense to this chick and maybe strangle her and rip her throat...no I was just kidding with the latter part but yeah I hate her stubborness and at the same time I feel for her. More than anybody else she needed this happily ever after.
However, with all the other parts? I totally love how it was written. I was even looking forward to read the secondary characters' story especially the added one in the group..Uh...uh..surely you'll gonna love her...She's a badass!

But first things first...I so really wanted to read the next book and I cannot wait for it. I Am eager to know what might happen next now that their chemistry is kinda stirred.

To R.C Martin, good job! You delivered an entertaining...enjoyable...lighthearted fun read that envokes plenty of emotions.
This isn’t over. Our song isn’t finished. It can’t be.

Was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Worthy of the Harmony is the first book (if you don't count Encore Worthy which was 0.5) in the Mountains and Men series, by Author R.C. Martin. We continue the love story of Millie and Sage.

Millie is fighting her own demons. Her past has shaped her to who she is. Her father walking out on her at the age of 6. Her mother drilling into her "Men always leave" for years, making her believe it. She spent her whole life building up walls around her heart, ones that Sage breaks down little by little. She realizes that she's giving him pieces of her heart and she tries to stop it before she falls in love with him.

Sage, at only 21, knows what he wants and who he wants. He's got his head on his shoulders better than most people older than him. His dream of becoming a rock star is finally happening when they are sent a manager to check them out, so that they can have someone represent them when it's suggested they be an opener for another band. He's living the high life, a career about to take off and a girl he can't get enough of. He wants to share his dream with Millie as he rises to fame. She's his muse, the song that's getting them noticed is the one he wrote about her. But Millie has other idea's.

We were taken on a story that filled you with so many emotions: angst, tenderness, and love. You want to scream at Millie, telling her she is a fool. You want to cry for Sage because you know they are meant to be, they could have an epic love. This story made me want to cry, scream, toss my phone against the wall because I was getting mad at Millie.

This is book 2 of the Mountain & Men series. This book continues the building relationship between Sage and Millie. RC Martin continues creating such deep characters that are dealing with true feelings and true problems when trying to build a new romance. My onr major complaint is that there are some times when I'd love to slap Millie. Here is a 26yo woman who initially fought 21yo Sage in starting a romance bc she was fearful of his immaturity, yet she definitely seems to be the one with immature thoughts and actions!

"What's the point of living if you aren’t going to jump?” this statement by fellow band mate deffinitely defines the struggle btwn Sage and Millie. Sage is not only fighting for his dream of his music but his fight to keep Millie from running...But Millie sufferds at the words of her nasty mother who has tried to ruin Millie from believing that love is real and that sometiimes the man does stay.
Sage says it best when he says "she is the harmony to my melody, and our song has just begun."
I love the interaction among all the characters we meet and can't wait to continue of being a groupie and following this band as they tour!

Worthy of the Harmony is the next book in the Mountains and Men Series. Sage is young and a dreamer. He knows what he wants and he is determined to reach his goals.

Sage wants Millie and is up for the challenge. She feels that their age difference is an issue but he sees nothing wrong with it. The only thing Millie is willing to give him is her body. She finds him difficult to resist. She is determined to keep her heart out of it. Millie's mother has instilled in her head that Men always leave and she doesn't want to feel that pain ever again.

She believes in Sage like no other person has. She sees him for who he is and encourages him to be a dreamer and follow his dreams.

I recommend that you read this book after you first finish Encore Worthy. You will fall hard for Mountains and Men. Must Read!

This is not a standalone, and follows on straight from Encore Worthy. The chemistry between Sage and Millie is still explosive, and Millie is determined not to fall in love with Sage, as she has had her mother’s words ingrained into her mind since childhood, “men always leave”! When Mountains & Men are offered the chance to go on tour, Millie’s confidence level reaches an all time low. Will she finally admit that she loves Sage? Will Sage continue to fight for Millie? You really need to read this series for yourself to find out!!
I cannot wait to read the next book in this amazing series. This author is doing a great job in writing this series, and each book has me intrigued and hooked throughout!

Well done RC! Well done! This is NOT A STANDALONE!!!! This book starts off right where we left off in Encore Worthy and just like I thought RC nailed it. The connection that Sage and Millie have is out of this world. I have read a lot of RC's books but OMG I just love this couple. RC's writing style is completely different in this series than her TPWK series you will not regret reading this series.

What a fabulous follow up. The chemistry between Sage and Millie is explosive still but the story grabs you emotionally and spits you out the end thinking what the heck. The story picks right up from Encore Worthy and takes you for a steamy, emotional ride where Sage and Millie get to know each other. These two are amazing together and I am totally addicted to this rock romance ( and Sage). Warning: once you start this series you won't want to stop.

The angst is HIGH with this one... Millie drives me nuts!!!! There’s not even a word I can to describe how much she annoys me... I get it, her mom ran a number on her and she’s f^cjed up in the head but GEEZ!!!!!! She acts like she’s the 21 yr old... Sage, poor Sage... What a great guy!! Love how decimated to his band, dream and Millie he is... As much as I don’t want to read the next few books I will b/c I need closure... Yay for kindle unlimited!

I was so excited to read this book ~ that was until I got to the end and it left me HANGING! Seriously I enjoyed this book, I love Sage and Millie and the rest of the Mountains & Men crew. RC writes great characters with a lot of depth, ones you can't help but want to get to know better & the family/friend relationships are so strong.

Can't wait until the next one is out.....

Good Lord...

I'm breathing heavy as I finish this installment of Mountains & Men. I'm loving everything, even the heartbreak, as I read this series and writing this review is taking away from my reading time. So, I'll just say this series is FREAKING awesome and you should read it! There, review done. Now back to that sexy beast, Sage!

So good

Millie and Sages story was so good! My only complaint is that’s this is a series of books for one couple, I was hoping for a book for each couple. But I can’t wait to read more of Millie and Sages story!
