Made of sheet music (don´t worry, they can be photocopies), they are a beautiful detail. They were used for weddings in the original web page. Rice and/or petals were placed inside for the guests. I do think you also can use them as Wedding Favors, using potpourri, for example... or candies.
It will be ideal if the Sheet Music are about a Song the Guests of Honour Like. If it is a wedding, the song of the grooms, for example.

I do think the butterfly idea is lovely. However, to stand them out I would make them with paper of a different colour or using the colours of the party. As I have said, I recommend to use photocopies or printings, so you can use the colours you like the most.
