Daniel Craig plays James Bond in the forthcoming Spectre, but whether he suits up for another run at 007 in the future is not something the 47-year-old star has given very much thought. At least at the moment.

“Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists,” Craig told Time Out London when asked if he could imagine doing another Bond movie. “No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

Craig’s comments, particularly the “slash my wrists” remark, went viral this week, and even solicited a response online from Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo. “This dude needs a reality check,” Pompeo wrote alongside an article that aggregated Craig’s Time Out interview.

Pompeo later posted a follow-up tweet, which acknowledged that Craig’s statements could have been taken out of context.

In an interview with EW, Craig made similar statements about his Bond future, though didn’t joke about self-harm.

“I can’t give you an honest answer at this point,” Craig said about returning to the blockbuster franchise for another round. “It’s not that I’m trying to play hard to get. I’ve just given it no thought whatsoever. This movie has taken up two years of my life. And I just need a break. I need to get back to normal life. I need to reintroduce myself to my family who are not best pleased with me. The idea of planning ahead — I’m not trying to be coy. People want an answer and I don’t have one.”
