Playing for Randwick against Manly in the first week of the Shute Shield finals, Beale made a great linebreak and looked set to take advantage of a two-on-one with just Marlins fullback BJ Hartmann to beat.
A simple draw and pass and the Galloping Greens would level the scores at 5-all.
But Hartmann had other plans.
Like a thief in the night, he plucked Beale's pass out of midair and took off down the field.
