WIRED Shows Up on Silicon Valley, Creates a Meta-Paradox

But if Bighead is on our cover, what happened to our real cover with the cast?

It would appear that congratulations are in order for Nelson "Big Head" Bighetti! Not only did Silicon Valley's favorite embodiment of startup hype bumble his way to a $20 million Hooli severance package on last night's season-opening episode of Silicon Valley, but he also landed on the cover of WIRED. (May the Double Gulps fizz ever in your favor, you glorious upward-failing testament to mediocrity.) This isn't the first time his name has been mentioned in conjunction with ours—last season dropped the fact that Bighetti was being interviewed by the magazine—so we're not sure if this is the payoff to that joke, or if we're supposed to be so blinded by his illusory charms that we doubled down on our Big Head buy-in. Either way, we loved it.

We have to ask, though, what this means. On, like, an existential level. After all, the core cast of the show just appeared on the real cover of WIRED, and even made a hilarious video railing against the baffling names chosen by the would-be Hoolis of the real world.
