Boris Johnson said being turned into a character on the video game Minecraft is “probably well up there” as one of his proudest achievements.

He was transformed into the character for a video to promote London as the “gaming capital of the world”.

Asked how his video game debut ranked alongside his other achievements on the political stage, the Mayor of London joked: “It’s probably well up there.”

He added: “Minecraft is very big with my kids. It is not yet top of my agenda.”

Minecraft, a virtual world-building game, is hugely popular and is played by tens of millions of people all over the world.
