As the story continues, the family expands. Elaine comes in, injured, with her slaves Marvin and Beth, who have a most unhappy history with Darla. Conflict arises, deep and profound, as the four become seven, and Josiah is left having to make a map into their future, to end the conflicts and bind them as family.
'Lucas X. Black is a lifelong dominant living in southern Texas, where he is engaged as a full-time writer. Away from home, he enjoys spicy and exotic foods, loves to fish, and loves going to the movies. In his home, behind the closed doors of his dungeon, he is a sadist and humorist, in love with eliciting a range of sensation and reaction from his oh, so willing victims …' to 'I have been a writer for a number of years, finally branching out into publishing. I love how this series has each book starting as the other ended. A true series in a sense no time had passed and it’s a true continuation. Book one SPOILER ~ If you have not read book one do not read on because it’ll spoil the experience of book one.
The last book left off with Josiah and his new family going to meet a possible new client. It is a very unexpected client of a Master and two slaves with one who was intimately linked to one of Josiah’s new slaves. The man and woman responsible for destroying Darla’s marriage are in Josiah’s office with their Master, Elaine.
Josiah had just asked Elaine to go to another office with him (book one) when this story opens. They end up watching through video cameras the interaction between his slaves and hers. What they see disgusts them both and leaves Elaine questioning her own rights to owning and handling of her own slaves.
Elaine decides she will also become a temporary slave to Josiah while she searches her soul about whether or not she deserves to own her own slaves or not. She wants to learn from Josiah and Lucretia as to how to handle them. With her arm in a sling, she’s unable to discipline her own. What she discovers changes her whole life.
Marvin is hated by all in the family for what he admitted to the family and they cannot wait for his punishments to begin once he’s on the farm with Josiah. The first of which is being horsewhipped along with his wife, Beth and Darla, his one nigh stand and catalyst for the destruction and rebirth of Darlas life.
The family feels the most for Beth right from the beginning. Even though she was the one to take and then send the pictures to Darla’s husband, they all believe she has never been shown true love either by Marvin or by Elaine.
This book definitely shows the family bonding together to help support their sister in this very difficult time. This whole experience brings Josiah’s family closer together while expanding it at the same time. New people are introduced into the family but will the stay there permanently or will they move on with their lives? Will Marvin ever be redeemed in Josiah and his slaves eyes? Will Elaine? Just how big will Josiah’s family grow? I don’t know but I’m ready to find out by starting book 3.
Josiah has to meet new clients, finding out that they were responsible for Darla’s marriage. Watching the slaves interact they don’t like what they see and leaves Elaine deciding that she wants to learn more from Josiah. Josiah before deciding on agreeing with Elaine knows that he has to put his family first and how having Beth and Marvin even in punishment will affect his family. With Elaine comes Beth and Marvin, while spending time on the farm with Josiah and his growing family, they learn more about themselves. The family continues to get closer and grow, new clients find Josiah and see that he’s family is full of love, will they end up staying and growing the family more.
I am absolutely at a loss for words. This is the second book in this series and I am blown away. This book is eye opening and even when there were parts I thought, there is no way I would ever want that or parts I was like oh Lord no that makes me cringe, in the end all of those parts weren't what stuck out or resonated with me. What resonated with me in this book is how much Josiah loves and cares for his slaves, how he truly loves, cares and respects them. With that in mind, you see it returned, his slaves truly, love, care and respect him. I look forward to continuing my journey in the next Josiah's Love and Justice Volume 3
What can I say for volume II.....This is the settling in sequel. Each person is starting to find their place. The writer makes you feel as if you have settled in too and this is just everyday life. Now, we added new characters and learn how being a Master is not just a dictatorship, but truly a venue to reawaken one's self by breaking them down, rebuilding, and reaffirming the value and beauty of a person. Whew, it is starting to get a little crazy and growth appears inevitable. Where do they go from here?
Last night, I finished the second volume in this powerful and raw series. I continue to be captivated by Josiah and his heart of gold. His love and compassion for people never ceases to amaze me. Once in a great while, I find an author that their books teach me a lesson or really make me think or just grab and pull my at heart so hard. This book series grabbed my heart! I look forward to the next book in the series and what lessons I will learn. Do unto others and trust your journey.
I really enjoyed the second installment of Josiah. We get to meet new characters, and enjoy past character while they all figure out how to bond as one. And of course there are steamy hot sex scenes! Can't wait to read more!
This starts exactly where book 1 ended with Josiah and his slaves meeting with Beth and Marvin and their mistress Elaine. After what happened with Darla and Marvin and Beth’s intervention too they are to be taken to be punished. With the arrival of a new client Astrid and Becky, Josiah is definitely going to have his hands full!
These books do not fail to amaze me, not being a follower of the BDSM genre as my first choice, this series just grabs and takes a hold of me and when I start reading I can’t put them down. There so much love and respect going around with them and it works both ways. Lucas X Black has definitely opened my eyes to a whole other world, and as much I couldn’t be punished or want to be, I can also see why they love Josiah from the love he gives them after being so harsh…take the good with the bad and all that! These books are so natural and well written that you can’t stop yourself from falling into Josiah’s world.
So I have so much love at the moment for Darla, she gets stronger by day in this book and I can’t wait to read book 3. Well done and thank you Lucas X Black for the insight into the BDSM world. Keep up the AMAZING writing! LOVED IT!!!
Josiah Love And Justice book ll was a fantastic read. I was so excited when I saw it was coming out so soon after the first book, which left me wanting more.
I'm not in the BDSM lifestyle, but it truly intrigues me.
This series continues as Josiah adds to the family. In book one Josiah's wife Molly became his slave, do to a situation that his wife had done. Josiah took on three more slaves and the fun began. In book two Josiah takes on three more slaves and the family expands. Josiah has his challenges trying to weave the seven slaves together as a family. There's plenty of scorching caning and flogging scenes as well as plenty of passionate scenes.
This book is easy flowing, and an extremely scorching hot and fun read. I truly enjoy this wonderfully written read. I truly loved this book and I'm looking forward to book three. Bravo Mr. black...

After reading book 1, I couldn't stop. I had to know what was next what made Josiah such a wonderful Master and why would others be his slave. I understand the need to be wanted an accepted but never regarded the assuage of guilt and being cleansed of mistakes by physical punishment. While I find the punishments harsh, I am beginning to understand the need for it emotionally as well as physically. The depth of this story gives a true loo into the act of ultimate submission and surrender. Lucas Black has written a no holds barred detailed account to the life inside a compound of a Master and his slaves, which seem to be multiplying by the page. Quietly waiting Josiah 3...
I thoroughly enjoyed Book 2 of this series. In book one I was presented with a part of the BDSM lifestyle that I had not heard about. This book takes the reader to the bonding of the new family group that has formed. There was still a large amount of discipline and numerous very adult scenes. There was also a more in depth view of why the characters had chosen their lives to be under Josiah's loving control and discipline. The characters are well developed and the writing excellent. This was another all night read for Mr. Black's wildly imitative series.
I didn't get to read the first one before I read this one, but it wasn't too hard to pick up where the first probably left off. It was an easy and fast paced read. I enjoyed reading this one and plan to go back to the first to get the entire story.
It did seem a little repetitive chapter after chapter, but that didn't stop my reading it.
I, Amber McCarty ( Imaginative Dreams), was given a copy for an honest review.
Book 2 in this 5 volume series deals with the new dynamic between Josiah and his slaves. As more join the "family" they each explore their own inner feelings and discover a lot more about themselves and each other, The punishment scenes are pretty full on, as they were in part 1, but Lucas X Black has a way of writing these scenes in quite an enlightening manner. The story is consuming and the book is very hard to put down. Bring on part 3!
I love that Mr. Black is showing more humor with Josiah. He has shown his humor in his short stories also. I love how the women are brought down off their pedestal by the other slaves. Even though they get punished for their actions. I always love to see so done put in their place. The fact that Josiah is actually out helping the slaves makes him more human in my head. Can't forget how a goat is used in more then reference in this book.
I am loving reading this series...Lucas Black draws you in. I found myself able to relate to the thoughts and feelings being experienced by Molly, Darla, Lucretia and Leigh. Things tense as the clan grows to include a Domme, Elaine, and her two slaves, Beth and Marvin---whom are married and who are intricately involved in the breakup of Darla's marriage and her subsequent position of being one of Josiah's slaves. I can't wait to read the next instalment.
This is the second book in Lucas X Black's Love and Justice series. It continues on from where volume 1 left off. Josiah now has four slaves and circumstances may mean he adds to the family. However, it has to be in the best interest of the entire family. I recommend this book to anyone that has read the first volume.
