In New Hampshire, he faces three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, two counts of second-degree assault, and charges of kidnapping and criminal restraint.Police said they have been investigating reports of assaults since January. Investigators said they believe Banks contacted victims through social media and convinced them to meet him in Portsmouth.Banks then assaulted the women, police said. "Same M.O. as we call it. Similarities. Very consistent throughout all three victims' experiences," Capt. Mike Schwartz said. "He's an extremely dangerous person, and we're looking for the public's assistance, not just if they know of other victims, but any information they have relevant to any of these crimes."It wasn't known when Banks would be returned to New Hampshire.Neighbors are now reacting to the arrest. "I think people are disgusted.  People are stunned, disgusted. Even his roommates had no idea," John Read said. "I think he's been a very shady character ever since I've known him, and I'm not surprised one bit."Police say this case underscores the potential danger of impromptu encounters arranged over the Internet. "They go on a social media site and just agree to meet with somebody, and it may well be somebody who's a predator. That's what happened here," Schwartz said.Police said anyone with information about the case should call them at 603-610-7529.Anonymous tips can also be left with Seacoast Crime Stoppers at 603-431-1199 or at seacoastcrimestoppers.org. Tips can also be texted to to CRIMES (274637) with the letters "TIPSCS". A tip that leads to an arrest or indictment could mean a cash reward of up to $1,000.
