Publisher Description
The Catholic Church has a new leader—an obscure African cardinal reputed to be a miracle-worker.
But the new Pope John has a shadowy enemy—an assassin from the Protectors of the Unborn, a group convinced that killing the pope is the only way to stop rumored changes to the Church's opposition to abortion.
When an incendiary talk-show host incites public opposition to the pope and his planned visit to Boston's Fenway Park, Father Joe Hurley and Lieutenant Kathleen Morelli of the Boston Police Department start investigating despite their superiors' opposition.
Quickly and irresistibly attracted to each other, Hurly and Morelli are pulled ever deeper into a web of intrigue as the pope moves into the assassin's sights.

Customer Reviews
Excellent
Good characters, some of whom are evil beyond belief. Even the good ones have major flaws. The latter come our ahead because of a working value system and a moral compass that drives their often extreme behavior. I will read more by him. Kept me interested throughout.
