FRISBEE fans reached for the skies as the flying discs soared over Cowley Marsh Playing Fields.
The Oxford Ultimate Frisbee group trains at Cowley Marsh playing field, and players say it’s a great workout.
The American sport, often referred to as just “ultimate”, involves scoring points by passing the disc to a player in the opposing end zone.
Players are only able to move one foot while playing.
Tom Dale, 24, from Jericho, has been taking part for a number of years.
He said: “It started just outside my house and I thought it looked fun, so I thought why not.
“It’s great for fitness. You run for miles during every game. It’s very competitive but also very good-natured.”
There are several “ultimate frisbee” groups in the city, including a team for both universities.
The OUF group meets at the playing field on Tuesday nights from 6.30pm.
