Oberlin College to Host Lorain County All-Star Football Classic

Oberlin, Ohio – On Friday, June 5, Oberlin's Austin E. Knowlton Athletics Complex will operate as the host site for the 2015 Lorain County All-Star Football Classic sponsored by Sliman's Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in Amherst, Ohio.

The top players from the county will square off on the Bailey Field turf; starting at 7 p.m. Area coaches have split the players into two teams, the Stars and the Stripes. The cost to attend the game is $5 per person.

"The Austin E. Knowlton Athletics Complex is a performance arena, but it is also a facility that allows us to build relationships within the greater community," Oberlin College Delta Lodge Director of Athletics Natalie Winkelfoos said. "We are excited to be hosting this all-star game and showcasing our stadium that just happens to sit on the campus of one of the nation's top liberal arts colleges."

"We are happy to bring the best players from the area to our campus," Oberlin College Head Football Coach Jay Anderson said. "This will be a great event for those in the community who have not been able to see our new facilities yet, and also a great opportunity for the young men to display their skills in a college setting."
