Malian parties sign 2 documents on reconciliation

ALGIERS, June 6 (KUNA) -- The Algerian-brokered negotiations on peace in Mali culminated Friday night in the signing of a statement for the implementation of the agreement for peace and reconciliation and a document on the security arrangements in northern Mali.
"The outcome of the talks is a step towards a better future and the return of peace to Mali," Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra told reporters after the signing ceremony.
"All parties affirmed their commitment to working for the security and stability of Mali," he added.
The two documents were signed by Lamamra, head of the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) Mongi Hamdi, Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop, and representative of the Azawad Movements Coalition (CMA) Ibrahim Wold Sidat. (end) ft.gb
