Stephen Harper couldn’t get out of Ottawa fast enough this week. Tom Mulcair is too much for him to handle in Question Period – and it seems like every day there’s a new twist in the Senate scandal. Bogus expense claims, secret cheques, back-room deals and Stephen Harper’s ever-changing story. Canadians are saying: Enough! I hear it every day from folks in my riding. It was even the topic of conversation when I stopped to get my coffee this morning. We’re sick of being told to get by with less, while Stephen Harper’s senators make extravagant expense claims. We want action. Donate $5 or more to join the NDP’s fight against the Senate scandals. You know, Stephen Harper says he’s focused on “law and order”, but I can’t help but notice that the RCMP is investigating his inner circle for their role in the Senate scandal. The reality is: Stephen Harper isn’t interested in changing the Senate. He only wants to change the channel. He’s going to use his convention in Calgary this weekend to regroup. And after that, he’s going to come back hard against anyone who challenges him. If we want to win this fight, we must act now. Can you help out with a contribution today? www.ndp.ca/senate-scandal-dominates-conservative-conventionThanks, Charlie Charlie Angus MP, Timmins-James Bay Canada’s New Democrats
