Motorcycle hits unmarked state trooper car

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. — A motorcycle carrying two people crashed into the back of an unmarked Rhode Island State Trooper car on Sunday afternoon.

The RISP Wickford barracks confirms to NBC 10 that high speed was a factor in the accident, which happened just south of Exit 7 on Route 4 southbound in East Greenwich.

The state trooper in the vehicle did not need to be transported, however both people on the bike were brought to Rhode Island Hospital. There is no word at this time on the nature or severity of their injuries.
