GCAA ReleaseNORMAN, Okla. – The HBU men's golf team received All-Academic Team recognition by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), announced the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
The Huskies garnered honors as one of 90 NCAA Division I programs nationwide to post a team grade-point average of 3.0 or better across the 2014-15 athletic season.
The team award comes a week after junior
Isaiah Huerta was named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar by the GCAA on
July 22.
HBU was one of three Southland Conference schools to receive distinction, joined by Abilene Christian and Southeastern Louisiana.
To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the GPA's for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
