Geocache Description:

SEARCH is the only registered non-profit Geocaching club in South East Alberta and is run by volunteers. Vision: Medicine Hat will be the top Alberta destination for Geocaching. Purpose: To promote family involvement, physical activity, & friendship in our outdoor sport & to actively promote the Cache In Trash Out (CITO) program. Mission: To promote ethical Geocaching within our community, by providing regular events, high quality caches, & opportunities to learn about Geocaching

Details are subject to change, but date of event is firm.

 

CARMH 6 BBQ starts on Saturday, Aug. 15th @ 5:00 PM (and end approximately 8PM), at Lions Park in Redcliff. Parking coords are provided.
As usual we will be having a BBQ with burgers , hotdogs and drinks.

Lions Park now has a water park for the kids, or, even the adults! Something for everyone!
Voting sheets will be left at every event so you can grab one per cache name, or cache team. If you don't have a voting sheet you can not vote for your favorite, so be sure to pick one up!
 
Finding – Caches for the CARMH 6 event will be published Thursday, Aug. 13th so cachers can plan their route. You must not search out any caches until after 7:00 PM, Friday, Aug. 14th. You will have till the CARMH 6 event BBQ to find as many caches as you like

Voting – Prizes will be given for the best in each category so please bring your voting sheets with you to the CARMH 6 event BBQ. Redcliff Lions Park, 3rd Ave and 6th St SE, Saturday evening, Aug. 15th at 5:00 PM


Hiding – Make your hides as usual. Submitting them on line early will assure you of that spot. You can copy and paste this section into your description for your caches:
"This cache has been placed for the CARMH 6 event. The cache should not be located prior to 7 PM, Friday, Aug. 14th. The caches for the CARMH 6 event are released early so that the geocaching community has an opportunity to plan their routes prior to the event start."

In the Note to reviewer section of the hiding a cache page. Please state that the cache is to be held until the CARMH 6 event. When picking a name for your cache be sure to add S6: in front of the caches name with no space after the colon. Example would be ........(S6:mycache).The deadline for you to get your caches on line and sent in would be Saturday, Aug. 1st by midnight. Please make the volunteers who approve these caches life easier by posting your caches as early as possible. Last year the poor souls had 80 on the last day!

You MUST also register your caches with AzraelsPortal (iandrimes@hotmail.com. Subject: SAWVICaches) by emailing your cache info. I need your geocaching name, the name of the cache hidden and the GC code. If you do not email your cache info we can't place you on the sheet for voting. So please email the info before Aug 1 so I have time to make the voting sheet. I will respond to each email within the week, so if I don't respond, please contact me to make sure it sin't in my spam folder.
