Analysis of the Ukraine national chart

In mundane astrology, a national chart is deemed to be more important than ingress or eclipse charts. In this post we will attempt to see if the Ukraine’s national chart [1] reflects the current crisis discussed in previous posts [2][3]. As with any radix chart solar arc progressions especially those involving the luminaries and the angles are the most important. In this category we have the following:

In the radix  chart Moon is square Pluto so that three major solar arcs aspects ,the Sun quincunx Moon, Saturn conjunct Moon and Asc square Pluto are triggering the radix Moon-Pluto. In mundane astrology the Moon represents the masses in general and a Pluto square indicates masses that are bitter because they feel unnurtured. When progressions trigger Moon-Pluto, bitter feelings begin to surface from the substrata of the collective psyche. The immediate cause of those bitter feelings can be traced to Saturn conjunct Moon. In the words of H.S. Green; this is “unfortunate for revenue, the Exchequer and trade, affairs are depressed and disordered and the machinery of the state does not work smoothly; the masses suffer from unemployment; Parliament is troubled and the Government may be embarrassed”.

Like any radix chart we draw the current precessed solar return for the Ukraine national chart and notice that it has the powerful Uranus-Pluto (end of an old order) square on  the angles.  Progressing this chart to Feb. 18 when the current series of events started, we see the Grand Cross involving Pluto-Uranus aligned with the meridian axis hinting at the ouster of the President.
