Alabama picked up its second commitment of the week on Wednesday when four-star junior college defensive tackle

announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide on Twitter.

Reed, a 6-foot-4, 310-pound tackle from East Mississippi Community College, committed to Florida as a high school star out of Goldsboro, North Carolina. Reed chose the Crimson Tide over offers from the Gators along with Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Kentucky, among others.

Reed is rated the No. 5 junior college defensive tackle prospect in the nation according to 247Sports. He is Alabama's 24th verbal commitment for the Class of 2014.
