JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Director is responsible for the following activities including:
- Responsible for creating a cohesive company-wide communication strategy and overseeing its implementation and ongoing execution.
- Management of ongoing and one-time communication efforts, including: company newsletter; regular company-wide town hall style meetings; multi-media company updates and information sharing, etc.
- Provides input and advice to senior leadership on messages for internal and external audiences. Coaches leaders on their communication effectiveness, and supports individual manager’s communication objectives.
- Manages the content, style, and functionality of the company website.
- Establish and maintain the internal and external Company ‘brand’, including: web presence, style and content of 3rd party communications, standards for presentation materials, etc.
- Works with Treasury and Accounting groups in coordinating the relationship with company bondholders, including: coordinating quarterly investor calls; handling of inquiries from existing or prospective investors; press releases, etc.
- Works as a member of development and M&A teams, supporting communications, community and regulatory aspects of active projects
- Coordinates relationship with media outlets, including press releases and media inquiries.
- Management of 3rd party communications consulting partner as well as ad-hoc outside resources.
- Coordinates community affairs activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in journalism, public relations, English or related communication discipline preferred.
- 15+ years of related business experience required
- Demonstrated ability in leadership/collaboration skills with the ability to develop and communicate a vision and engage people in that vision
- Demonstrated success in creating and implementing strategy
- Strong project management skills
- Interest and ability in being both ‘leader’ and ‘doer’
- Proven experience in serving as advisor and sounding board to senior management in areas of expertise
- Media management experience required
- Government affairs experience required
- Proficient PowerPoint skills
- Domestic & International Experience
- Corporate social responsibility and community relations involvement desired
