The Breds trail 83-70-1 in the all-time series, and are looking to put an end to a seven-game losing streak to the Golden Eagles.

Dowdy's Streak Ends at 7
Kollin Dowdy saw his streak of reaching in consecutive plate appearances end at seven with a groundout in his second at-bat against Evansville.  Dowdy singled in his last two at-bats in the middle game against Ohio State, then went 4-for-4 in the series finale.  He extended the streak with a walk in his first plate appearance at UE.

Mathews Big Weekend
Taylor Mathews had a big weekend at Ohio State as he went 6-for-12 with four RBIs.  He drove in all four runs in the 7-5 victory.  The four RBI ties his career high that he set against SIUE Edwardsville in 2013.

Dowdy Goes 4-for-4
Kollin Dowdy closed out the Ohio State series by going 4-for-4 with an RBI.  It was part of a weekend in which he went 7-for-13 in three games.

Downey Wins Out of Bullpen
Brock Downey did things different against Ohio State by coming out of the bullpen.  But, the result was still the same as the junior did not allow an earned run over 4.2 innings to improve to 7-1 on the season.

On Deck
The Breds travel to Arkansas State on April 29 for a 6:30 p.m. first pitch.
