  1. We would like to address the trend in forum posts or campus chat messages about moderators ignoring offences, essentially letting some players get away with an obvious silence; or the opposite, silencing for something that should be ok.

For Missed Silences, our moderators are a team of volunteers, that moderate in their spare time.

If someone runs into internet lag or encounters any other technical abnormalities, they may not receive every message posted in world chat.
This means a moderator may not see a valid offence and miss silencing for it.

The way to fix this is easy, and you can help. If you catch something that a mod missed, report it.

If you run into someone that was breaking the rules and didn't get a silence,
do your part and report them to:
    support@athinkingape.com

    A useful report contains :
    • the offender's name (spelled exactly as it appears in game)
    • where the offence took place
    • a screenshot showing the offence

For Unfair Silences, where a moderator silences for something seemingly benign, moderators are usually silencing for a wall post, status message or other issue not immediately apparent from campus chat.

Campus chat and the forums are NOT the place to dispute or argue about silences.
If you feel that a silence was unfairly issued you should report this to:
    support@athinkingape.com.

    A useful report contains:
    • the moderator's name
    • the account silenced
    • why you think the silence was unjust
