The Tree of Rebellion with diagram

Scriptures: Galatians 5 v 19-20; 1 Samuel 15 v 23; Isaiah 53 v 6.

Isaiah 53 v 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Let’s face it - we are all born rebellious, and have to be trained by our parents and teachers using the rod and other disciplines, until we gain self-control.  Satan was the first rebel, the first one who rebelled against God’s order and commandments so bringing upon himself eternal banishment from the presence of the Lord.

Satan’s nature is proud, rebellious, jealous, angry, bitter, lying, deceiving, controlling, manipulative, tormenting and fearful.  The demons and fallen angels have inherited his evil nature and he inflicted it on us. (See 10 part Vision on our blog (http://www.propheticfire.co.za) - especially The Six Day Realm Unpacked.)  He has a head start because we are all born into sin because of the fall of Adam and Eve, and have to conquer his sin in us before we can enter into the righteousness of the Lord.

Jesus had a solution to the sin problem; He conquered sin and Satan on the Cross, and made a way for us to come to the Father through the power of His shed Blood.  In 1 Corinthians 2 it says that if Satan had known what Jesus would accomplish on the Cross, He would still be alive today. Jesus conquered all rebellion to enable us to submit to the love and goodness of the Kingdom of God.

Jesus has given us the power to overcome Satan, too, and we need to exercise this power and muscle against the enemy.  Satan can be very discouraging against anyone who first tries to withstand him, but it is all bluff.  Even a little child can put him to flight because the power is in the name of Jesus and not in us.

A lady once came to me for deliverance from smoking, and we went through the forgiveness and bitterness prayers.  She had her two year old grandson with her, amusing himself with his toys.  When we dealt with the nicotine I said, quite loudly and firmly, ‘Satan I rebuke you, In Jesus name and I command the demon of nicotine to leave.’  I had to say this a few times until I was sure it had gone.  The next day this lady phoned me laughing and crying all at once.  She had survived twenty four hours without a cigarette but was about to light up when this same grandson walked over to her and said ‘Satan I buke you in Jesus name’  - he could not quite get the rebuke bit right.  She said immediately all desire for smoking left her and she was free.  It really does not take years of mature Christianity to see the devil off.  Just put your faith in the name of Jesus and command him to go.

Satan aims his strongest attack at teenagers, as they are most vulnerable when they are becoming independent from parental restraints.  Rebellious music, clothes and culture (peer pressure) as well as movies, drugs, discos, raves, sex, and hairstyles, moulds teenagers in a certain way that gives Satan the least line of resistance from them.  We need to pray earnestly for our children from an early age to protect them from the wiles of Satan.  Teach them the right way to live, and even if they wander off the track for a while to see how the other half lives, they will wander right back to righteous living when the sin and evil offends them sufficiently.

Rebellion, teenage or otherwise, means a total lack of submission to the Lord Jesus Christ, or to any kind of authority.  It’s battle cry is “Do your own thing!”  If children are not disciplined in a Godly way from an early age, they become spoiled (i.e. ruined, destroyed) and the seed of rebellion takes root - the crop is harvested in about 14 years time.  Parents will cry:  What did we do to deserve such horrible children?  The answer is - you failed to discipline them properly and teach them respect.

Looking at pictures of Ariel Castro - the man who kidnapped 3 girls in Cleveland 10 years ago, and photos of his sobbing mother horrified at her rebellious son, brings into focus what this Tree of Rebellion is about. It also sharply illustrates the Six Day Realm where we were held hostage and tormented exactly like these three girls. We have no memory of it so we cannot understand why these things happen, or why God allows such evil. God knows we will experience at least some of the events we suffered in the Six Day Realm as these have been programmed into us. The only way of escaping it is to be born again.

Repent of your own rebellion and failure to nurture your children in the ways of the Lord, and pray for Him to bring them to Himself.  Intercede against the rebellious spirits that control them and influence them away from the Lord, and release them completely to the Father.  I mean completely

Prayer: Father, I release John/Jane into your hands as your own precious child/ren.  I messed up with them, Father and I ask forgiveness and pardon for this.  Please take them to yourself and restore them to the way You created them to be.  In Jesus' name.  Amen.

1 Samuel 15 v 23 says:  “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.”
