Kick-off the grand re-opening of Fitzgerald’s with Houston’s very own Bun B on Saturday, October 3, 2015.

Since opening its doors in 1977, the now historic Fitzgerald’s has become a staple of the music community and one of the most widely recognized venues in the Greater Houston area.

Having recently seen the departure of Pegstar Concerts, the venue’s management and talent buyer for the past five years, Fitzgerald’s is undergoing top-to-bottom structural changes both cosmetically and behind the scenes with their programming.

Lead by incoming Fitzgerald’s GM and past Fitzgerald’s sound engineer, Lauren Oakes, the venue is partnering with Austin-based booking company Transmission Events, best known for producing Austin’s annual Fun Fun Fun Fest.

The newly-renovated Heights venue will be starting on a great note with Houston-based rapper and Rice University guest lecturer Bun B when festivities begin Saturday evening.
