Man charged in death of Pinckneyville inmate

A man has been charged in connection with the Sept. 23 death of a Pinckneyville Correctional Center inmate.

Austin M. Sherfy, 22, of Barry was charged Friday with one count of involuntary manslaughter and one count of aggravated battery in the death of Paul Rhoden, while both men were incarcerated at Pinckneyville Correctional Center.
