I almost never read a sequel right after finishing the first book but Fight for Dawn is the rare exception.
My favorite thing about this series is how surprisingly well written it is. I didn't really notice but when I was really taken aback by how well the story flowed. I read this book really quickly because of how well everything flowed together.
I felt like I was really able to get to know Dawn even more in Fight for Dawn. She a really interesting character and I'm glad her character was able to develop though out the series.
There was quite a bit of drama in this book but it was done is a really good way. I took everything at face value and there was really no need to be a critical reader (which I normally am).
Overall, this is such a fun series. I really enjoy reading both books and I'm pretty sure I'll get physical copies later in the year. I can definitely see myself rereading these books if I'm ever in a really bad reading slump because I feel like these books would be perfect for that.

I was so excited to read the sequel to Angel's Dawn. I really wanted to know what was going to happen to Dawn and what secrets would be revealed.
I still haven't jumped aboard team Angelo, no matter what his situation is. Pietro becomes a more prominent and likable character in this installment.
In this sequel, Asima, Dawn and Aunt Meg travel to Italy for a month to get away from all the problems in their hometown in Florida.
Enter, Gabe. He's cocky, fun, and cares about Dawn even if she isn't really looking for anyone after everything in book one happened. You learn who he is, and even though I didn't think she should go for him, especially once she discovers his secret, he was my favorite guy.
Dawn went through so much in this book, it was hard not to relate to her. She gave me tears several times.
There were a few twists and turns I hadn't expected. I liked that about this book. The author did explain more of the storyline in this book, but I still wanted more. I guess I will have to wait for the final book in the trilogy!
Overall, this book gets four glittery stars for a solid read!

Fight for Dawn is book two in The Dawn Trilogy. It can not be read as a standalone, you must read Angels Dawn first. I loved the first one and couldn't wait to read this one. I was not disappointed with Fight for Dawn. It's an amazing read.
Fight for Dawn picks up where Angels Dawn left off. Dawn is heartbroken and a mess. She is questioning what happened and doesn't really remember. She has lost her best friend and her first love. It's a little heartbreaking to read what Dawn has gone through.
Although Nate has passed we he does show up in this book. I was excited for Nate's return. Angelo and Bonita's relationship moves in a direction I didn't except. I'm not a fan of Bonita. Bonita will go to whatever lengths she needs to, to get Angelo. I loved Gabe. He seems like the prefect person to help Dawn get over Angelo. He has a little mystery to him and you can't help but wonder what he's hiding.
I loved the ending and can't wait to read the next one.

He has a little mystery to him and you can't help but wonder what he's hiding.
I loved the ending and can't wait to read the next one.

This story has several different peoples POV. These are my favorite type of books to read, simply because you get to see what is happening from all angles.

This is not a standalone book.You do need to read Angels Dawn before you start Fight for Dawn.
First off let me say; how can the story get more twisted and straightened out in just 1 more book??? This book will take you for a ride of your life! Just when you think you know what is going on, oh no Ms. da Silva turns you on your head.
Dawn moped around the house forever since she lost Nate. She does not remember how she lost him, but she knows he is dead. Dawn also has a confrontation with Angelo saying something like wishing he were dead and he wasn't her guardian angel anymore. Be careful what you wish for Dawny... So Dawn goes to Italy with Asima like planned, however she is accompanied by this drop dead gorgeous man Gabe.
Who is Gabe? Gabe's parents villa is the place where they are staying during their trip in Italy. Gabe is sweet, never pressuring Dawn and letting her cry and vent her frustrations on him. Gabe however just seems off with everything. I sensed something wasn't right from the beginning of the book.
Italy trip went great. Then disaster happens. So for you to find out what happens with the disaster you will have to read Fight for Dawn. I will let you know that her emotions are pulled in all directions and I don't know if she still loves Angelo, or even if she really loved him to start off with.
Ok. So since you have apparently read the first book I will start off by saying, yes Nate is dead, or is he? Is Angelo a good guy we should feel sorry for or has he done this to himself? I mean seriously? My feelings were all over the place.
Yes this book does have some stuff that is about teenage years. The author is trying to express that teens go through a lot of stuff as well.
I can not wait to see what this author has in store for the last of The Dawn Trilogy book! This book also ends with a cliffy, however not as bad as the first one. Exceptional work again Ms. Komali!

I was very pleased with this story and although we are left hanging again it is a great feeling being so hooked on a series that you just hate the author for being so good !!
I feel like I have been waiting forever for this book but the second I began reading I was brought right back to the heartache of where book 1 ended. WOW Komali does such a wonderful job with Dawn and her emotions after losing Nate and not being able to remember what happened. To top it off she has lost Angelo too. It is very easy to relate to Dawn , although she is young she is dealing with so much stress and heartache, her emotion is so real. Part of me wants to cuddle her and the other part wants to give her a kick and get her going to figure out what is going on with Bonita. There was a lot of build up in this part and you may figure some things out but there will still be other things that leave you stumped. Bonita and Angelo's relationship goes to a place I honestly did not expect. I almost feel bad for Angelo and I hope good things come for him soon. Dawn's parents have some big secrets going on and their story is interesting as well. When Dawn goes on her trip to Italy with her aunt and Asima she has the pleasure of the very good looking and young Gabriel to be their guide and friend. Dawn and Gabriel do grow close at one point and you think she may get over Angelo but no chance. He has quite the hold on her. Between Nate's visits and things Dawn has seen and heard she begins figuring things out which leads her to more and more danger. The story takes another heartbreaking turn when they suffer more loss. WOW this is torture !!
If you love a series that is easy to read , I read it in a matter of hours, and filled with twists ,turns and uncertainty then this is your series and Komali is an author for your list !! You will be fabulously frustrated in the end but I am thinking we will be blown away in the finale !!

Can I say this story frustrated me. Why you ask? Well I wanted my happily ever already lol. I think my heart cannot go through any more with Dawn and the gang.
Fight for Dawn starts up right where Angels Dawn left off. The story progresses well and is very well written. I have to stay I was never a fan of Paranormal stories but Komali drew me in so much that I have started to read more of it.
Back to the story.....
Right from the start of Fight for Dawn I was instantly drawn into the story. I honestly wanted to fast forward and see where the story would end. I liked that new characters were introduced and you got a better look into why a lot of events were happening. I thought for a sixteen year old, Dawn goes through so much in such a little time. Despite all that is happening around her she is able to find the strength to go to school and enjoy her trip to Italy.
At times I thought that Dawn needed to stop falling in love so quickly then I remembered she was only Sixteen. I want my happily ever after with Angelo Just saying :)
Overall, great suspenseful read that will take you on a ride. A lot of events will have you heartbroken. Fight for Dawn left me feeling incomplete and I cannot wait to find out what she really is (if you know what I mean)

Dawn is back and an even bigger wreck than before. Her best friend, Nate, was killed and she feels that she is to blame. She doesn't remember what happened when she was abducted nor Nate's death. Angelo and Bonita appear to be an item and her heart is shredded. She's going through life as a shadow. Her and Asima still go to Italy even though they are without their third wheel. She's not sure if she can enjoy it, but she's pleasantly surprised with their guide, Gabriel. Gabe also comes back to the states and will be going to their school. When Angelo admits that Dawn exists, he doesn't like her hanging out with Gabe. Bonita is still playing up her pregnancy and even though it seems that she firmly has her hooks in Angelo, she still is targeting Dawn and she has no idea why.
Even though I started this book hoping that Angelo would realize what Bonita was up to and would repair the damage between him and Dawn, I really started to like Gabe. This book was just like the first in regard to pace and build up. It was such a treat not to have the expected happen, but I really need the conclusion in my hands!

This story picks up not long after we leave Dawn in Angel's Dawn, which means you really need to read Angel's Dawn to be able to follow the story.
After all that happened to Dawn she has trouble coping with the loss of Angelo and Nate. She struggles to get back to living until she is introduced to Gabe. Gabe is to be her guide around Italy where she is going for a holiday with Aunt May and Asima. Gabe is a gorgeous but mysterious guy and Dawn feels a slight attraction to him but fights it because she still loves Angelo.
Things between Bonita and Angelo start to get serious and we learn a little bit more about Bonita's plan and what lengths she will go to to keep Angelo and Dawn apart.
It isn't the end of Dawn's heartache though. An unexpected accident takes someone else she loves and leaves her again fighting the darkness.
Towards the end we also get to learn what was so mysterious about Gabe and aren't we in for a surprise.

Another amazing piece of the puzzle from Komali Da Silva. I love her writing style and the books flow so easily.

Komali dear, we must talk because you made me ugly cry! WHY? How could you do that?!! Ok, ok ... let me back up. Fight for Dawn picks up right where Angels Dawn ends. Yup, right back into Dawn's heartache. I was hoping Angelo would find his way back to Dawn after removing the charmed bracelet, but Bonita is being ever nastier than before. When Dawn's forced to take someone she has never met before with her to Italy, she's determined to hate him. But how long will it last? Will be be able to restore her to herself again, or a even a new Dawn that she can be happy with? I must say that Komali was able to throw me for a nasty whirlwind that came out of left field. Luckily my family is use to me sobbing while reading, so they just ignored me. We're once again left with a cliffhanger than leaves us eager to read the conclusion of this great trilogy.

This series keeps me thinking!! Ahh for the love of cliffhangers!!! Once again KdS had me hooked from the first page. Poor Dawn for only being 16 she sure gets put through the ringer. Oh and Bonita yea she is the biggest B I've ever read about. Poor Angelo, I wish I could help him myself. And Gabe is a big mystery to me! I love all the interaction between the good and the bad.
I'm so hooked on this series and I can't wait for the third and final installment. KdS knows how to sink her literature claws in you and keep you hooked!!

Wow what an amazing second book! Fight for Dawn is a emotional page turner that kept me on the edge of my seat. The authors way of bringing the emotions to life is incredible. I recommend that the first book be read first as it makes this story more understood. I love the characters new and old and think the author is amazing at keeping the reader guessing to where the story is heading. I love the way she ends the book and am looking forward to reading the next one. This is easily a 5 star read for me

love,love,love this book! amazingly written. there's so much raw emotion put into the book. the author did a great job describing the details. happy about the new guy gabe cocming into Dawns life, sad to see Angelo made exit straight right. but hopefully he will be back. as for bonita still hate her. Asima rocks. Nate even being a ghost is still my favorite, and he proves why in this book.

Secrets!
There is something about this series that has just drawn me in completely. I find myself trying to figure out all the secrets but I just can't do it. I feel so sad for Dawn and even Angelo. I am hoping they find their HEA, but now I wonder how that could even be possible. I guess we won't know until the conclusion of this Trilogy. Get writing Komali! ;)

Again!? I need more of this story. Another cliffhanger ending and unpredictable twists that tear at your heart. Poor Dawn just wants a nice peaceful life but she isn’t getting one. Cannot wait for the final book in this series!!

Book #2 in the Angel's Dawn series
It has taken me a while to get to this book for review due to a lost cord, but I am thankful I got it sorted out because I enjoyed this book. While it left me with more questions than the first book did, I found the plot to be very original and enjoyable. The beginning starts off a little slow and I was a little lost since it has been a while since I read the first book in the series, but after a while it all fell into place again. This book continues the story of the main character Dawn and her group of friend both old and new and the ordeals that she is faced with. The author did a wonderful job of bringing new characters into the series as well as keeping the old characters going in the same direction as book 1.

I look forward to reading more in this series and see if my questions that are unanswered get some solutions. I will say that there is a lot of information given in this book that wasn't in the first and the story definitely picks up so please don't take the slow start and give up. Keep on going.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
You might need a box of tissue to get through the second installment in Komali da Silva’s Dawn trilogy. This book was so freaking sad and emotional. I was pretty close to crying my eyes out. Be prepared. Loss is the theme in this one.
Poor Dawn is losing everyone she loves. It doesn’t destroy her. It toughens her and brings out some bitterness. In other words, she evolves! She’s not all goodness and light anymore. Girl developed a backbone.
"Fight for Dawn" introduces ANOTHER book boyfriend (like I need more)–Gabriel! He’s gorgeous, devoted to Dawn, and will hurt anyone (including a certain nameless one from the first book) who hurts her. He’s simply wonderful and will have you cheering. On the other hand, Angelo broke my heart. I was disappointed in his character, but I also felt sorrow for him. (Read the book people!).
The ending of this book both upset me and delighted me. It’s one of those ‘can’t wait for the next book because you want to see where it goes’ yet ‘why’d you do this to me’ moments.
I must say this book by da Silva had more of a foreign feel. Don’t get me wrong. It’s still a good book and I highly recommend it. By the middle of the book, though, most of the characters were dropping ‘love’ in all their dialogue. But, that’s no worse than reading a book by a Southern author who writes characters who embrace the word ‘honey child’ or other vernacular in their dialogues.
I’m eagerly awaiting book 3! (Hint hint, if you’re reading this Komali, love).

WARNING: If you haven’t read Angels Dawn do NOT read Fight for Dawn! This is NOT a stand alone!
That said, I can move onto the review….
Fight for Dawn takes off right where we left her in Angels Dawn. Broken hearted, a mess, lonely and… well Dawn is devastated. She lost…. Everything in one night, and in real life, you can’t press a button a restart the game. It goes on even if you feel you can’t move along with it. That’s how Dawn feels like.
Dawn’s mother insists that she has to go to Italy, just like they had planned, and so she does. But Italy has more to offer than meets the eye and soon Dawn finds herself smiling again, but will it last, or will Gabe’s secret break her too?
It is clear to see/feel from the beginning that Komali has a tight grip on this story, the flow she found in her story telling from the end of Angels Dawn has definitely found its way to Fight for Dawn and it is a pleasure to read!!
Komali dishes up with new surprises and twists in her plot that you still don’t see coming. The characters are a delight to read, and I giggled more than once due to Dawn and Gabe.
Komali also broke my heart. No, I won’t tell why. Or how. That will be too spoilerish, and I don’t do that. Just be prepared to bring the tissues forth, fair warning.
As much as I enjoyed Angels Dawn, I adore Fight for Dawn. Komlai truly shows how much she has grown as an author and her potential is absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to read the conclusion to this exciting trilogy!!

I received a copy of this book for a honest review.. reviewer for 2 girls who love books # Bella..
this is book 2 in the dawn trilogy and you must read book 1 (angels dawn ) before reading this book.. this series is completely easy to read and again is aimed at the ya audience but can be
read by a more mature audience who love paranormal. again this read really grips and tears into your emotional side.. and bring things out of you that you never knew existed.. so twisting and captivating.. seriously you never can guess what's about to happen or is going to happen. each page is completely different and really does want you to grip hold of your kindle and have it permanently glued to your hands.. so I just wanna say thank you to komali for making a sequel to this seires so raw and for making me cry again.. hahah
flight for dawn carries on from angels dawn.. to which read about dawn.. god this young girl has been through so much.. you just want reach into the kindle and cuddle tho poor girl or adopt her.. this time we she that she has lost everything from book 1... and the monsters which are lurking in the dark are seeimg her at her weakest.. can dawn fight and run.. or be sucked into her inner feelings.
you can defo tell that this series is building up to something powerful and the suspension is killing me... Ivan not fault this series and really does leave you wanting more.. x

I absolutely adore the intensity of the emotional atmosphere the author created. I was bawling my eyes out at the beginning of the book. The loss of Nathan, her first love, and the traumatic events had finally taken their toll. I wasn't sure about the new guy in Dawn's life, but it didn't take long before I accepted his presence as it helped renew Dawn's strength. My heart is honestly torn between Dawn's new guy and her first love who cannot help his horrible circumstances, but could, I think have fought harder for Dawn instead of wallowing in self-pity.
I enjoyed Dawn's strong resolve to defend herself and a certain scene where she physically took control.
The story-line was enjoyable enough to captivate my attention from start to finish. The dialogue is the cause of an internal conflict with me and certain scenes that ended vaguely or abruptly. Those tiny areas caused distraction more than I would like to admit.
It is an enjoyable story and I recommend it for young adult audiences.

Fight for Dawn picked up right where Angels Dawn left off thankfully because I am not sure I could take the wait!
This is an amazing follow up to Book one that kept the story flowing without rehashing storylines from Book one. Again with this book, I found myself crying, excited, frustrated, angry, and a few other emotions. I loved this story and the emotions that were brought out in me were due to the situations that the characters found themselves in.
Fight for Dawn had me at the edge of my seat the entire book, I couldn’t get enough and read it almost in one sitting. The story didn’t end on a cliffhanger but the ending did show that there is more to come. Plus there were some comments in the book that peaked my interest but were not explained leaving a bit of a mystery as to what is yet to come.
I cannot wait for book 3 in this series. The characters are all well developed and you feel invested in their lives from reading these stories. I can’t even guess how the author is going to wrap up this series but I can’t wait to find out.

Well Hellooo Gabe ;-)!!!
OMG I had to go straight on to book three before leaving any reviews.
This just keeps getting better, I love all these powers, the Angels and the demons oh my.
I am disappointed in Angelo but love where the storyline has taken him, I did think it sad at the time that it looked like he was being taken down the dark path and may not be for Dawn but then well Gabe appears and dear author please let Dawn keep him lol. No really, both of these Angels are wonderful she should be proud to have either.
Dawn and Asima are off to Italy with Aunt Meg as chaperone, (I love her too her character is so quirky, we would get on well I feel), I was exhausted by the time they finished their sightseeing. Dawn's relationship was quite strained with her parents before she left to go on her vacation but she is happier to see then when she arrives home.
Bonita is definitely playing dirty just to keep her man, what lengths some people will go to.
I recommend book one first as you need to understand where the story line started and how it blossomed and grew.

If you haven't read Angels Dawn then don't read Fight For Dawn till you do. It is not a stand alone.
It starts where Angels Dawn left off. . I think this had the potential to be a good story. Its based on 16yr old Dawn from Florida but she doesn't talk like a American 16yr old girl would talk. Also Its a YA book and author uses different words than cuss words which is fine and I think that's good but you then have teens having unprotected sex that result in teen pregnancy , you have underage drinking in a bar and driving under the influence. To me I would rather see the cussing in a YA then pregnancy and underage drinking. It takes us on her Holiday in Italy but is very rushed and it skips part or whole days to me it is very rushed .

What a great continuation of the first novel in this series. It picks up right where Angel's Dawn leaves off and dives right into the story. Your heartstrings are tugged from the first chapter. Dawn goes through so much and after all the loss she has suffered, there is more to come. There are many twist and turns that keep you reading until the very end. I have to say I like Gabe's character, and even though I like Angelo as well, I found myself pulling for Gabe. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. If you haven't read the first one, start there. You'll love the world that Komali pulls you into!

If possible, I loved this one even more than the first. You get to see a more mature side of Dawn. All that she's been through has changed her and I truly connected with her character. I really hope her first feelings toward Gabe don't prove to be true in book 3. I really like him, maybe more than Angelo.

What heartbreak! I love this trilogy! This book had my attention from start to finish again. My heart hurts for Dawn and apart of me is pulling for Angelo even though what he's putting Dawn through. Can't wait to read what's next!!
