The dean of students at an Ocala elementary school accused of exposing himself to a 44-year-old grandmother in his office is banned from Marion County school properties for now.

Patrick Sasnett, 36, also a local pastor, was charged with exposure of sexual organs.

He turned himself in at the Levy County Jail on Wednesday and was released after posting $500 bond.

The alleged exposure happened Monday at Evergreen Elementary School, 4000 W. Anthony Road, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

“Our district is shocked and disappointed any employee would be accused of this behavior,” school districk spokesman Kevin Christian said in a statement. “Mr. Sasnett has been put on paid administrative leave per normal board policy during the investigation and legal proceedings. He will NOT be on any school property until the issue is fully resolved.”

The grandmother of a student at the school met with Sasnett to discuss disciplinary issues.

“As she was leaving the meeting in his office, she bent down to grab something from the floor and Sasnett told her, ‘Look what you do to me,'” a Sheriff’s Office report says. “When the victim stood up, she could see that Sasnett was exposing himself to her.”

They were the only ones in the office at the time. The woman “gave a clear description of Sasnett’s undergarments to MCSO deputies,” a report said.

Sasnett later told deputies the grandmother “had been flirtatious with him during the meeting and that he had played along,” a report said.

Deputies asked him to show them his underwear to confirm the woman’s description.

He did and it was a “perfect match,” deputies said.

“It should be noted that deputies observed Sasnett’s clothing to be neatly tucked in and attired so there couldn’t have been any other way for the victim to come up with her description of the undergarments,” a report said.

Sasnett was appointed as pastor of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in Ocala on Dec. 26, 2010.

“He arrived with zeal and a mind to work,” the church’s website said.

Sasnett is an Eagle Scout, accomplished alto saxophonist and is married with four children, the website says.

State records show he is certified for elementary education for kindergarten to sixth grade, integrated curriculum for fifth through sixth grades and exceptional education for kindergarten to 12th grade.
