Thirty-two people have been indicted in connection with a drug ring that is allegedly circulating heroin and crack cocaine throughout Euclid and northeast Cleveland neighborhoods.

City officials from Euclid and Cleveland joined with local and federal enforcement authorities for a news conference Wednesday to announce the indictments.

Cleveland police said most of the suspects are affiliated with the East Side gang known as the “Lakeshore Boyz.”

The indictments are the result of a year-long investigation by the Northern Ohio Law Enforcement Task Force, which includes the FBI, Cleveland Police Department, Euclid Police Department, Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office, Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority and Drug Enforcement Administration, Cleveland police said.

The arrests are related to last month’s

series of indictments involving 92 people on drug trafficking charges

in the same neighborhoods.
