Read J.K. Rowling's First-Ever Story About Harry Potter As An Adult

J.K. Rowling gave us a brief epilogue about Harry Potter's adult life at the end of The Deathly Hallows, but now, for the first time since that final book, Rowling has written a story that features Harry not as a teen wizarding student, but a 34-year-old Auror.

Like many of Rowling's recent writings at the Pottermore website, this latest story takes the form of a Daily Prophet article—this time from the pernicious pen of gossip columnist Rita Skeeter. That means that we hear a bit more vicious speculating about the lives of Harry and the rest of Dumbledore's Army, who have made an appearance at the Quidditch World Cup finals. (Amusingly, Rita is particularly peeved that one Ginny Potter, née Weasley, has snagged the plum sportswriting assignments.) But it does give us the latest update on the DA crew—or at least what the Daily Prophet is content to let the wizarding world think of them.
