** spoiler alert ** I liked The Bookstore just okay. I love the characters and the setting and I didn't mind the weirdness of Mitchell. I hoped that Luke would become a love interest for Esme and possibly even step up to help with her baby. Something about this book left me feeling disappointed that I can't put my finger on what it is. I wanted the bookstore itself to play a greater role since that was the title of the book. I wasn't satisfied that the bookstore was a salvation for Esme at all.
