Do you ever joke about getting married in Vegas? We all imagine it: a fly-by-night adventure with Elvis as your officiant, walking down the aisle in a closet-size chapel surrounded by heart-shaped stained-glass windows. It’s fun to joke about, but most just won’t make that leap to the kitchy side for their big event. However, it might be the perfect way to renew your vows!

Getting married by the King is exactly what Zoey and Nick did for their seventh anniversary.

Dressed in a sequin dress and a Blues Brothers getup, this bride and groom headed off to the Shalimar Wedding Chapel at the Howard Johnson Inn Las Vegas Strip. The couple brought six of their closest friends for the silly wedding they’d always dreamed of. Fake flowers decorated the altar. Elvis walked the bride down the aisle.

Eddie Powers (the self-described best Elvis in Vegas!) was their hilarious officiant, with excellent comic timing and spot-on impersonation. Even when Zoey and Nick’s rings unexpectedly went bouncing under the pews, Eddie/Elvis retrieved them single-handedly and made sure the show went on.

Of course, every wedding needs dancing, particularly an Elvis wedding. As Eddie serenaded the crowd, the groom busted a move and put on a show himself.

This vow-renewal was wayyyy too much fun, and it was everything the bride and groom dreamed of. Viva Las Vegas!
