What an innings from Craig Simmons! The left-hander is run out in the final over of the game. He smashed a whopping 11 sixes and four boundaries in that innings that propelled Perth Scorchers to a huge total.
OUT! C Simmons 112(58)

SImmons gets to his second century of the Big Bash League! He has been in terrific form this season and continues it in the semi-final of the tournament. Starc has some success as Mitchell Marsh falls on the last ball.
OUT! M Marsh 3(4)

Simmons is on a carnage at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG)! So far he has hit 10 sixes, two of which came in the 18th over off Hazlewood.

Mitchell Starc gets his man! The left-arm bowler comes around the wicket and cleans up Adam Voges for 31. Good over for the Sydney Sixers as only four runs were scored off it.
OUT! A Voges 31(24)

Simmons is going all guns blazing against the Sydney Sixers! The left-handed opener smashes two sixes and as many boundaries as Perth add another 23 runs to their total. This was a very expensive over from Sean Abbott.

Brett Lee comes back into the attack searching for a wicket, but is punished second ball for keeping it full, as Voges gets a boundary. Another good over for the Perth Scorchers as they add 10 runs in it.

Half-century for Craig Simmons! The left-handed batsman has brought up the fifty with the help of as many as five sixes and one boundary.

Simmons slams Bopara for a six as Perth reach the 100-run mark in the 13th over of the match. The left-handed batsman has picked up quite well after a sluggish start early on.

Simmons continues the good work for his side as he punishes Hazlewood for dropping one short, lifting it over the backward square leg boundary for a six. Early on in the over, the Sydney bowler was smashed for a boundary. 17 runs come off that over.

OUT! S Whiteman 9(11)

Sam Whiteman takes three runs off the first ball and Simmons clear the field for a six as Perth add 13 runs from that over. Perth will be looking to build on the momentum as they have lost their way a little bit after the dismissal of captain Simon Katich early in the innings.

Very impressive comeback by Ravi Bopara after dropping that catch earlier. The right-handed medium pacer gives away only three runs. Perth will be looking to pick up as they have scored only eight runs in the last three overs.

Trent Copeland comes into the attack. Only three runs scored off the sixth over of the match.

There’s the first wicket! Katich tries to clear the third man boundary but finds Brett Lee near the ropes. Hazlewood continues to be impressive as he provides his side the first breakthrough, importantly of Katich, who was scoring quickly.
OUT! S Katich 26(21)
Simon Katich takes the attack to the opposition as he slams three boundaries and a six off Starc to provide his side some much-needed momentum. The veteran left-handed batsman hits couple of strokes in air to get some quick runs. However, there was an appeal for leg-before which looked close. It was turned down.
Josh Hazlewood starts off on an impressive note as he doesn’t allow the Perth batsmen to score few quick runs. Only four runs scored off the third over of the game.
Dropped! Simon Katich is given a lifeline as Ravi Bopara drops a simple catch at covers off Mitchell Starc. This was after Katich started the proceedings for Perth Scorchers with a boundary over the cover region.
Brett Lee starts with a wide in the final of the tournament, but recovers well to give away only two more runs in the over.
