She loved the world she had created for herself as a waitress in a chic Montréal bistro. Until one day a businessman comes into the bistro and challenges the life she’s come to love.
She’s caught between her desire for him and the desire to protect what she herself has created. He is domineering and strong with all his wealth and power, as he unapologetically pursues her.

2 stars***

First and foremost, I have to say I like Evangelene's writing and I loved everything I've read so far.
Her Devil's trilogy was awesome! Basically, this is the only reason I gave it a 2 star rating, otherwise I probably wouldn't even finish it.
I wanted to throw my iPad agains the wall numerous times.
But this book... I have no idea how to put this review into words, but I'm gonna try.

The thing is, everything about this story was already seen and read about.
This storyline was already played out million times before. Rich handsome CEO (who is of course hiding something from his past) and modest waitress waiting for her prince charming.
It was like replaying FSOG and This man trilogy all over again, but with minor changes.
I just couldn't connect to the characters.

Main male character Lukas Blakk is a mixture of Christian Grey, Gideon Cross and Jesse Ward.
I never hide a fact that I love good alpha male, but this one just didn't work for me, and there is no way in hell he could ever live up to the standard that was set by the above mentioned gentlemen :)
He also has a housekeeper/cook named Mrs.Thacher... Hm... any similarity to Mrs. Jones from Fifty shades of Grey? Yep! :(
Heroine Alexia comes from a stereotypical Greek family, and again, I felt like I've seen it all before in "My big fat greek wedding" movie, except this family was not as nice and funny as one from the movie.
At one point, Lukas and Alexia break up and he keeps sending her excerpts from romance novels in form of letters written by famous authors. Carrie Bradshaw and Mr.Big much?

I am sorry, but this book was a quite big disappointment for me.
I did finish it, but my expectations were much, much higher.

Truly loved this book. It was a great read. I've read hundreds and hundreds of book and they all seem to blend into the same "type" of book but "My Most Precious One" far exceeded my expectations. Lets just say I put Lukas right up there with THE Gideon Cross.

Alexia (Lexi) is a strong willed young lady. She knows who she is and for the most part what she wants. Until she meets Lukas. Lukas is tall, dark, extremely handsome, rich and very overprotective/overbearing. But whatever Lukas wants, he will get. They start a whirlwind relationship that will take you through so many emotions. Lexi gets so caught up in Lukas' world that she loses sight of who she use to be. Secrets are revealed and when Lukas uses his money to secure Lexi's dream job, she realizes that she may have bitten off more than she can chew. She realizes that she is just like a caged animal. So what does she do, she leaves undetected, 3 months before she was to marry Lukas. What hurts the most is that he never came to fight for her. And when he does show up, he's angry that she didn't just talk to him about how she felt. She promised that they'd never run but talk about everything and she does just that. So he walks away.

After a year, when Lexi opens her dream business, she gets the surprise of her life. Find out if her & Lukas reconcile or if they deicde to be friends and move on. MUST Read!

I loved this one,but lately i don 't have time for reading at all ,i'm using every free time for reading and this why i read this book like 7 days. But it's amazing book with very alpha, caveman man hero(if you think Jesse is over top wait till you meet with Lucas Blakk)story was fast -paced,with great second characters. My only issue is that this book don't have epilogue,i will love to see Lukas and Lexi few years later with kids.
Sorry for my short review but i don't have time for even to write one decent review..:(

I know some people had a problem with this because of Lukas' alpha man craziness, but I didn't, I am a sucker for the whole cave man thing. I loved it.

This story is about Lukas and Alexia, Lexi, they're the classic cat and mouse love story.

They had phenomenal sex, and great love story.

I loved how Alexia didn't give up herself for him, it made me like the story a whole lot more.

☆☆☆☆ ! And I found a new author to love.

So glad I read this one! Is very Beneath This Man crazy alpha possessive - I saw a lot of similarities in Jesse and Lukas. Essentially billionaire sex on a stick Lukas meets waitress Alexia and there ensues a power struggle between the two as they work on developing a relationship together - one who has a interfering past and another who has insecurities which threaten her happiness.

Plenty of bedroom dominance (but not BDSM), sexual tension and jealousy. Was written very creatively - there are quite a few surprises at the end that I did not see coming but were so refreshing! All in all a really enjoyable read - my only complaint is there were numerous spelling errors from start to finish, thankfully it didn't take away from my focus on the story, but it was interruptive, I esp. was finding "Fucken" irritating after it's 20th iteration. But would not discourage readers from reading, just maybe author to polish with a revised edition.

What was not to love about this book. It had sex, love, family, and friends. Lukas was a dream. He knew what he wanted and he went after it. he had he issues but that didn't stop his love for Alexia. Alexia on the other hand was so insecure. She doubted her self worth most of the book. She had to find herself in order to fully give herself to Lukas.
Then the moment WTF..the ending, it just came. Everything was so detailed and then the ending wasn't. I'm disappointed. The book was good but the ending mad the book just bad. I wanted more details, but I was left with none.

1st off let me just say that I totally neglected all my responsibilities today. Once I started, I couldn't put it down! This story had me all over the place! It's actually really hard for me to put in words how I feel about this story. It's unbelievable! The Alpha Male in this story is like Christian Grey, Ethan Blackstone, Gideon Cross, and Jessie Ward all mixed in together... ABSOLUTELY INTENSE!!!!! I'm so happy I came across this book.

At first I wasn't sure but the more I read it pulled me in the story is good, I was engrossed and couldn't/wouldn't put the book down. Damn Lukas is smoking HOT with his uber alpha dominating ways. I liked alexia and what I liked so much about her is that she didn't take no shit! I laughed, ooohhhh'd, arrrrrrrrrd, swooned and growled while reading this. The only let down was the grammatical and spelling errors!

3.5/4 stars..... I really enjoyed this book, there were some grammar mistakes but it didn't affect the story. I love Lukas, he is a man who knows what he wants and he is willing to do anything for the women he loves. Dominant, possessive, sexy, what's not to love? Lexis she was ok, she had insecure issues, I like her about 60% of the book.

I absolutely fell in love with this book and the characters. Lukas is so alpha dominant but has crazy passion. Lexi is a strong woman who realizes and follows through on her dream. My only complaint is the editing.

***I RECEIVED AN ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***

3.75 ALPHA STARS!

Ok, I liked this book a lot. It had A LOT going for it. It has the erotica. It has some steamy hot sex. It has the dirty talk. It has the "MINE" and "I am Neanderthal and will take woman to my cave forever" talk. It has the hot, sexy, sinful, damaged, sinfully rich alpha. But this book also had some seriously crazy things in it (i.e. exclamation points for like every sentence and this man roared or yelled a lot, like that was the only way he communicated). If you can get past that, this book is a good one for those who crave the bad boy, rich alpha who likes control and everything that comes with it. No he is not Gideon Cross or Christian Grey but I did see a lot of similarities with the mine and alpha tendencies.

Ok, moving on...

Alexia is a waitress, part time barista and college student working on her graduate degree. She is Greek (with a big nose apparently, lol), really smart, has a wild side to her, doesn't take shit from anybody, has some loyal BFFs, and is down right hilarious. While working in a café where she is a waitress, she meets "the suit" aka Lukas. He comes in every day, sits in her section, and makes small talk. All the women fuss over him and think he is super sexy. But what Lukas wants, Lukas gets and what he wants is Alexia.

One day, he makes the move on her. And then the game of cat and mouse begins between Alexia and Lukas. He is all alpha so he is extremely controlling and possessive, maybe a bit over the top at times. It was like Lukas and Alexia would take 5 steps forward and then 10 steps back because of her uneasiness of their different social status' or because she felt like she was losing herself to him or because his overwhelming feelings for her or because of his craziness possessiveness and controlling ways. I mean the man would flip if she even talked or looked at a guy too long for his liking.

As their relationship progresses, this is when the story begins. Alexia was admittedly afraid about taking a leap of faith with him and probably for good gut instinct but she did anyways. There are a few twists and turns along with the secrets that Lukas has *gasps*!

Can Alexia withstand the storm of Lukas? Can Lukas put his faith in Alexia? After something devastating happens, will they be able to find their way back to each other and get their HEA or are they only ever meant to be friends? I will say that I didn't particularly care for the ending ONLY because a lot of time passed during one part and it felt a bit rushed.

Like I said, if you love the brooding alpha millionaire, this book is for you! :)

***3.5 Blakk and Wine-filled Stars!!!***

I would like to be honest and say that I am quite torn on whether to rate this a little lower than my 3.5 stars. So, I've decided to start my review on the not-so-good parts for me before I go and share what I liked about it.

Why and what didn't work for me?

Let me count the ways:

- Grammatical errors
- Also punctuation marks use (or lack of it)
- Most of the time, I find it hard to follow who's speaking and thinking what.

It's hard to keep up when I'm having difficulties reading who said what. At first, it was okay but after a while, I was already getting distracted and I keep on pausing for a second to look back and see who among the characters is speaking. Or flinching. Or shouting. Or smiling. Etc. Aside from the missing commas, it can also use some better paragraphing.

Now that the bad parts are out of the way…

I liked the story!

I enjoyed Lukas and Lexi's first meeting and the museum "date". Their love story was dreamy, romantic, intense, hot, and cute but also with insecurities and problems like what Lexi has and what caused their "break-up". I liked how Lukas was protective, loving, caring, and how he wants to provide for Lexi to the point where which was too much for her to accept and caused her to hurt more than anything.

As much as My Most Precious One made me smile, it also made me sad and I appreciate that this book was able to make me feel both. I like how a book can stir not just one emotion from me because when I only feel one thing while reading it, most likely, I am not enjoying. And this one made me feel different emotions.

I just hope that there was more to the ending. I just felt like the last couple of chapters after their problem were missing something, like it was sort of rushed or cut out certain parts instead which made it seemed rushed. At least for me.

For a free read, this is worth a try!

Alexia (Lexie) is a waitress at a bistro in Old Montreal who is working hard to prove her independence. She doesn’t really care what anyone says about her, and she is carving out her own niche in the world. She is studying archeology and working to save up enough money to finish up her last semester for her master’s degree. Lexie loves waitressing and helping out those she loves. For the past two months, a suit has been coming in for breakfast and sitting in her section at the bistro. Lexie has a major crush on him, and he starts to pursue her.

Lukas Blakk is an extremely established businessman who is in Montreal to finish up a deal. He is extremely domineering and wants Lexie, and refuses to take no for an answer. Lukas knows how to negotiate to make sure that he always gets what he wants.

I gave this book 4 stars out of 5. I have to say, this story reminded me of others that I have read, but I do find that more often than not. I did read this in one sitting, so it did hold my attention and I really wanted to see where things would end up for both Lexie and Lukas. The fact that Lexie was so strong willed in the beginning, it really irritated me how insecure she was. At some points I just wanted to hit her and tell her to stop. Lukas is nothing but reassuring and patient with Lexie the entire time. Lexie and her friends, Kaci and Roxie made me laugh with some of their antics. Everything was so detailed that I feel as though the ending just kind of sprung up out of nowhere. I wish that there was more of an ending. Best way that I can describe this book would be a super-hot, alpha-male My Big Fat Greek wedding.

I was provided a copy of the book by the author for an honest review.

I just finish reading this book, and I love it, love the characters and love how the boo turn out to be. I am gone keep this short cause I don't want to give anything away.

The story begging with Alexia (A.K.A.) Lexi, she is a waitress during the day, and study at night, she knows what she wants, and she know who she is, on her day job she is serving breakfast to her, favorite Mr. Suit, his being going their all the time, she knows his rich and he leaves her a good tip, that day she made a comment to her friend, but what she was not expecting was for him t hear it, on her day off she decide to go to the museum, while she was in the museum she was listening to music, and not paying attention to her surrounding, she was lost in her own little world, when she felt some tapping on her shoulder, when she turn around to cursed the person out, she was speechless to find out Mr. Suit, he say hi to her and she say hi, he told her that he took her advice and go check the exhibition out, that's when he ask her to show her around, after they finish he ask if she seen the pieces, and she say not yet, so he end up inviting her to see it, that's when he introduce himself as Lukas, now Lukas know what he wants and that's Lexi, would she cave in and go for him.

I really love and enjoy reading this book, and love the way how Lexi and Lukas are with each other, I love Lukas attitude, and love Lexi attitude, I did not wanted to finish reading this book at all. Author Evangelene THANK YOU for introducing me to this awesome characters and this amazing book love it.

3.5 stars!!

This book has love, sex, great friends and a very feisty heroine who speaks her mind and is not afraid to take action and make mistakes along with way. One of the things I loved about this book was that Lexi really grows as a person throughout this story, going from waitress to pursuing a dream and making it happen. And Lukas is a total dream, hot, sexy, possessive, and not afraid to admit when he makes a mistake.

Some of the elements of this story were a little familiar to me (sexy millionaire, fancy cars and homes, etc.) but the writing is very honest and raw and that elevated this above lots of other books in this genre. And the sex is raw and beautiful and honest and loving.

Lexi is also a real, contemporary working woman who struggles with her family, job and love life. I also absolutely loved the detail about each city that the story takes place in, from Montreal to New York. I really enjoyed this book and yes, I do love gorgeous book covers and this one has a beautiful one. If you love a hot and sexy book with drama, a sexy, possessive hero, and lots of heart, My Most Precious One is for you.

ARC GIVEN TO ME FOR AN HONEST REVIEW

First off I like this book but then I didn't, I was really torn on giving this more or less stars. I know it's a story and it's fiction but I couldn't connect with the characters As I would have liked too.

Lexi was to damn stubborn for my liking and I just have a hate/love kinda thing for her. She just sorta got my nerves. And Lukas he was hot. But he had issues it was a bit of Christian Grey mixed with Gideon Cross & Jesse Ward. His emotions had me on a freaking roller coaster. It kinda made me want to throw my freaking kindle across the room.

But the thing is I felt like this plot-line/story line has been played out. And LOT of unnecessary drama came from this book.

But I do see good things with this author but i just couldn't really say if this book was for me not.

But Lukas and the book cover were amazing.

A trip down memory lane...

I loved this book when I first read it a few years ago. But going back for the re read...it just fell short. It felt like I put in a bad remake. The story was not only predictable it has no real development. Our H is a rich dude I love with the h but hiding something. While I loved some of his alpha tendencies...I was annoyed with the fact that he used sex instead of actually speaking. For me I fall for a H by the way he speaks to the h and there wasn't enough for me to like him. Our h while not a dooryin words I felt she didn't put up much of a fight in actions. The redemption to the book was the writing style. I loved the flow, the mystery, and the humor...but it just fell flat

Alexia and Lukas. Where do I start with these main characters? I loved how gritty and intelligent Alexia was. Lukas, oh sweet yet powerful Lukas, there were times when I was jealous of Alexia as I read this book because of how Lukas treated Alexia. And then there were times when I wanted to lock these two in a room and bang their heads together so they could work out their issues!

Evangelene, thank you for writing this book. Your characters have depth, you give your readers plenty of twists and turns in the plot and the love scenes between Alexia and Lukas are intense and hot. Smoking hot!

I look forward to your next book, Evangelene!

I've read several books for the year and this is my favorite one.

I'm sitting here in tears as I write this review so eager to re-read Alexia's & Lukas' story over and over again. It was truly beautiful, and it touched me in a way that I have never known. I felt like I was in the story with Lexi seeing things through here eyes and by no mean did Lukas disappoint...it was incredibly easy to fall in love with this character.

Definitely the easiest 5 star rating ever given.

I received this book for an honest review. This was panty melting HOT and my most favorite aspect of all is the ALPHA and This book was the I don't want to put it down because I am addicted to this story.
This is the story of Lukas and Alexi. Alexi is a waitress making her way through college and Lukas is billionaire. This was such an enjoyable book that had some really nice twists in it.
I loved this book because it was like a storm waiting to happen. You are just not sure when it will..

I like the characters and the plot in the begining yet after they start dating every time there is some problems. And Lukas does not act like a man about his age. Yes she was young yet he is was very insecure. Lexi did not help!!! I like her friends they actually were not there just to her talk about him.
Problems with family and an dead fiancé add the plot. Could be short.

This book is a study in contrasts as there were things I loved about it and things I hated, and while I’m not sure how to rate it, I’m going with 3, the average between 5 and 1. I enjoyed the plot of the story and the Greek heritage, and also found the Montreal setting to be quaint, so those were the pluses. I hated the characters’ brash reactions and screaming at each other, as well as the separation that lasted a whole year. This also occurred at the very end of the book, so when they reunited, the book was over and we didn’t have any time to savor their HEA or glimpse their future together. But overall, given that I’m a sucker for the j/p billionaire trope, I did finish the book (in spite of the the poor editing and grammar it contained) and can say that it provided satisfaction on that score.

Hero and heroin were both annoying. He hid the fact that she looks like his dead fiancé (which was icky to say the least & he needed to grovel more imo) and she never communicated with him. But okay read overall.
