Jayne finds herself in Oklahoma. She’s trying to restart her life, yet she knows deep down she is missing Las Vegas but why? It’s a life she had wanted to leave behind for years; her Father was dead there was nothing in Las Vegas for her was there? The man she had fallen in love with had deceived her and left her heart broken.

Flynn is a man on a mission; he loves Jayne and will stop at nothing to have her. He has spent years watching her from a far and now he intends to give her the life she deserves, but will he win her over? Can she truly forgive him?

I loved Jayne’s character, regardless of her past she is a true fighter, at times she may be hot headed but that only adds to loving her even more.

You will not be disappointed in book #2 of this series. This book did not go how I how expected it to at all. I love when an Author isn’t predictable and Jami Denise does not disappoint. I couldn’t put this book down, the writing was flowing, descriptive and I could feel myself living this whole story right along with Jayne. I will definitely be reading more Jami Denise’s writing in the future.

OK, so I delved right into this book after finishing with the first book and it did play out better than I was thinking. I still thought that Jayne was frustrating at times BUT I did end up loving her as well as that sexy as sin Flynn!!!!!!! OK, can I say that I LOVED Jackson:( Yes, I did and his part in the story left my heart broken a bit BUT I did get why it had to happen but still he was so damn sexy and so genuinely kind to Jayne!

I am actually really looking forward to the next book about Vince:)

I am glad that I discovered Author Jami Denise, Congrats, and I look forward to reading more from you in the future:)

*I was given a complimentary copy of Queen of Hearts for an honest review.

After being left with a hell of a book hangover and slightly miffed after a cliffhanger of an ending, I jumped at the opportunity to read Queen of Hearts early. I needed to know immediately what happened to Jayne King, Flynn McGuire, Vince, and that massive jerk hole Doyle McGuire. Queen of Hearts is full of suspense, angst that comes with two completely stubborn main characters, and off the charts steamy chemistry between Jayne and Flynn.

We begin with Jayne living away from Las Vegas. She fled her life after it completely fell apart in a blaze of gunfire and deception. She loses every single person that was important to her. Going back to her hometown in Oklahoma, she tries to live a simple life complete different from her existence as a high priced call girl. As much as she tries to transform herself into a different person, her old life permeates every thought. She does find a connection with Jackson, the owner of the diner where she waitresses. He is a down-to-earth, gorgeous man who wants more from Jayne, but she is unable to open her heart to him. Flynn still weighs heavy on her heart. After receiving a visit from an unexpected person from her past, she decides to go back to Las Vegas and confront the problems and danger she desperately tried to escape.

The plot line for the Queen of Hearts is more fast paced and action packed than See Jayne Play. Jayne is determined to find out what happened to Flynn, Vince, and her father, despite the attempts by her friends to stop her. I love Jayne’s tenacity. She’s a very strong willed character, something I love in my heroines. I was a bit upset with Flynn’s character at the beginning of this book. I really wanted him to step up a bit more when pursuing Jayne. But Jami redeems him in my eyes with the lengths he goes to protect her later on in the story. Vince’s character infuriated me throughout the whole book! He was secretive, combative, elusive, and just plain aggravating. I loved every minute of it! His storyline with Kelsey has me wanting more. I hope Jami continues the series with their story. I really enjoyed all the secondary characters I had one problem with this story, however. I wanted more scenes with Doyle McGuire’s character. The reader is told of all his nefarious ways, but never shown them. I would like to see his evil character in action. I think it would have really cemented his place as the bad guy in this book instead of just being told he was terrible.

Queen of Heart is a addicting, fast paced read. I really enjoyed the suspense aspect of the plot. The characters are wonderfully complex and flawed. The sex scenes are romantic and steamy. I look forward to more books my Jami Denise. I give Queen of Hearts 4 out of 5 stars!

The Queen of Hearts is the second in "The Jayne " series and it is my favorite so far in this series . I think author Jamie Denise has went and hit her self a home run with this book. This book start where See Jayne Play ended . As soon as I sat down ad started reading this book I was hooked. This book was full of a lot more action and drama than the first book. This book had so many different kinds of emotional roller coaster of emotions . This book made me laugh so hard , it made me want to cry , it had me yelling at the characters so many times it was not funny. I fell more in love with all most all the characters in this book. The sexual chemistry was so hot is was sizzling. This book a few sexy hot Alpha men in this book that will have your panty wet . This book is full of love, friendship, passion and family what more could you ask for in a book.

Jayne decide to leave Las Vegas the only place that she know as home. She leave with a her heart ripped out and nothing to lose now. She decide to run away from the only man she has ever love because she think he has betrayal her and lied to her. For all his betrayal it cost her father life . All she want know is to start over some where no one know who she is or what she has done in her past . But when she finally find a place where she want to live and start over and she can find other that she can trust. But what she was not planning was for her friend to come and find her . But as he told her in the past " He'd never give up on her ". But after he leave her she starts to re think what she wants . She decide to go make to Vegas and look for Flynn but what she finds after a year of being gone all most take her to her knees . Can she for give Flynn or will his betrayal she thinks he has done be to much for her to handle.

Flynn Maguire has all ways got what he want when he wants some ting. But all that change when he met and fell in love with Jayne . He has made up his up his mind he will not at nothing to have her in his heart and mind. But he knows with a women like Jayne he has to make sure he does every thing just right or he will lose her forever. The day he let her walk out of his life he had not choice but to let her walk away. But he has made up a plan to get her back in his heart and his bed . But to get her back he will have to take down his father and he know that will not be easy. But in the end will it be enough for him to get back his women or will it be to late for him to have a happy ending.

Their is so much more juiciness that I did not share about this book. I cant wait to read more from this author in the future .

Thank you to TRSOR Promotions and Jami Denise for providing us with an ARC so we could write this review.

Ok let me start off by saying that before you read Queen of Hearts you really need to read See Jayne Play, since that is the first of book in this series.

This series is soo good. Once I started reading it I couldn't stop. It has sexy characters, drama, excitement, action and intrigue. There are characters that you are dying to see how they play a role in the whole thing and others that you want to kill yourself. One of the things I attribute to a good story is how many emotions it can pull out of you, and I promise you that this one pulls them all out. As I read it there were times I cried right along with the characters, was worried and fearful of what might happen to them and fell in love right along with them as well.

At the end of book one we are left with Jayne running away and trying to start her life all over again, and book two picks up a year after that happens. Even though she's finally found what she always wanted she wasn't happy. Didn't feel at peace and as if a part of her was missing. Her love for Flynn hasn't waned any and she has convinced herself it's not love but hate. Everything changes once again when Vince shows up at her little hole in the wall motel and tells her that its time to stop running. He also tells her that he knows she isn't happy and he thinks she needs to go back to Vegas. Only problem with her going back, she isn't safe and neither is her heart.

Jami Denise has built a world that is so easy to get lost in and characters that dig themselves so deeply into your heart they feel like family. Hope you run out, read and enjoy it as much as I have.

Happy Reading... Adri

Queen of Hearts (Jayne series #2)
By: Jami Denise
4/5 stars

I think that I should have done a reread of book 1, See Jayne Play, before reading this book. I didn’t remember a lot of the specifics and I felt like thing weren’t well re-explained like a lot of authors do in their sequels.

At the end of the first book, Jayne left Vegas, running away from Flynn after losing her father & her friend Vince. So, at the beginning of this book, Jayne is no longer a high-priced Vegas call girl, wearing fancy clothes and designer heels. She’s in a small town, working at a diner and is with a man who is able to give her the sense of normal that she’s been looking for. Even though Jackson is a great man, Jayne still yearns for something more. But Jackson has also been good for her in so many ways. (You almost feel bad for him, knowing that he isn’t the H, in this book.)

But when the past comes crashing into the present, everything Jayne thought she knew isn’t what it seemed. Jayne has unfinished business in Vegas and is planning to go back, confront Flynn and get the money that he owes her from when she was his call girl. (He had paid her, but his dad, emptied her bank account.)

Flynn didn’t have a choice when Jayne ran away from him, Vegas and her entire life. And he’s not ready for her when she comes waltzing back into his life, but he’s determined not to let her get away ever again. But with a woman as head-strong and stubborn as Jayne, he has to play his cards right or risk losing her, yet again.

I forgot how self-absorbed and selfish that Jayne could be, but at the same time, there’s just something about her that is endearing. This book was told solely from Jayne’s POV and I would have liked it better if it was a dual POV.

I won this book from a blog giveaway.

As usual, Jami has done it again.

This is the continuing story of Jayne King, former call girl in Vegas. After the end of the last book, Jayne went "home" to Oklahoma to find herself, but realized that what she wanted was not there.

She feels that someone was following her, and she was right. But the person following her was one of the last people she ever expected to see in her life again.

I was shocked to find that both people that we expected were dead, were actually very well alive. Both Vince and Flynn. And to find that they are working together was even more shocking because I thought that Vince hated Flynn.

The only complaint I have with this book is pretty much the same one that I have seen in other reviews and that is that we never get answers with anything, it's a circle. The only person that even remotely gives us any info and clears anything slightly is Flynn's mother and she's not able to clear everything up.

However frustrating the lack of answers is in this book, I still like it. I absolutely love and adore anything written by Jami and that's never going to change. I look forward to book three in the series and I seriously hope that Jayne is finally able to get answers to everything because that's just annoying and it's not like Jayne to just sit back and take it. At some point, she HAS to be told everything.

Series or standalone? Series. You maybe could pull it off as standalone, but you'd be frustrated.
Would I recommend reading? Yes
Would I reread? Probably.
Book Hangover? Not particularly. (Sorry Jami, not something I'm dropping everything to read a second time right away.) 22222227128a9s

Liz's Review:

In this book we follow Jayne King as she runs away from the man who betrayed her. Lost and lonely, she finds herself in a small town and uses it to start over. With a new relationship and new friends, she thinks she has finally found her place, until the past appears at the foot of her bed.

When Jayne left, Flynn vowed that he would never give up and never let her go. When she is found, Jayne decides to return to where it all began. Although she tried to avoid him, the pull that she feels to Flynn is undeniable. But how can she trust him?

Flynn lied to her, broke her heart and got her father killed—or so she believes. When the truth comes to light, can she find forgiveness? Can she trust that Flynn is only trying to protect and love her?

Hitch a ride to Vegas and hold on. Queen of Hearts will grab you and take you on a rollercoaster of emotion and adventure. The ride is bumpy and full of twists and turns that will have you clenching your fists, full of passion that will curl your toes, and a love so deep that it will bring tears to your eyes.

If you haven’t read Seen Jayne Play, the first book in this series, I would definitely recommend that you do. Then grab Queen of Hearts and see what happens to our couple.

Jami Denise has done it again. Taking us into a world of love, passion, friendship, betrayal, family and passion ... did I say passion?

We start off with Jayne living a quiet and secret life in the middle of nowhere America. Filling her days with simplicity and a caring man. A man, who isn't Flynn. In all actuality there can never be another Flynn...for us or for Jayne.

Ultimately drawn back to Vegas and the world she left behind Jayne has only one thing on her mind ... revenge. She has lost it all and is determined to get back what is hers.

As Flynn, Jayne and Vince continue to straddle the fine line between right and wrong, we are pulled back into their world. Adding to the mix is a young girl named Kelsey that reminds Jayne of what her life was and what she wants it to be.

Never without passion and love, Flynn and Jayne set the pages on fire. Vince is forever the rock that holds Jayne together and through it all they come out all the better for it.

5+++ stars and I cannot wait for the final and third book in the Jayne series!

What a fun sequel to See Jayne Play! I can honestly say, if you haven't read the first in this series, you can still read through the Queen of Hearts as a stand alone, however, having read the first one, believe me when I say, you want to read it.
I'm a big old sucker for Flynn in this story. I loved how Denise set it all up though, having Jayne attempt a re-start with Jack. I like Jack. Jack is nice. But he's not Flynn. Just saying. Best feeling ever - seeing these two mend their relationship, work out the misunderstandings and best yet, create a solid partnership that, by the end of this book, could not be broken. My heart swoons, Ms. Denise.
I also have to mention how much I absolutely loved getting a glimpse into all the side characters of this one, too - Mrs. Doyle, Pamela, Kelsey (omg, Kelsey). GREAT JOB writing people I can care about, despite the flaws that surround them. I am beside myself right now, adored this one, and cannot wait to open up the Damned Sinner installment.
P.S. I think this is my favorite line ever: "Give me ten. I need shoes - and my gun."

More of Janie and Flynn continues. I love their chemistry together and Flynn's dedication to her. I don't care much for Vince though because he is supposed to be like Janie's surrogate brother and doesn't always have her best interests at hand or has a weird way of showing it. Janie was on the run because her life was in danger but she eventually goes back to Las Vegas and decides that is where her life will always be. Doyle is hiding but he still wants Janie to pay while Janie wants her father's death avenged. Janie has always been tough and stubborn and she still is. Flynn has to go the extra mile to prove his adoration for her while keeping her safe. Although things between Janie and Flynn are resolved, there's other parts of the story unresolved, to be continued in the next book,

In book one I said that Jayne was a character that women could look up to. She was fierce and strong. I love those type of female MC's. In book 2 Jayne comes back, her heart a bit battered, but stronger than ever. My love for Flynn hasn't wavered regardless of how things turned out in book 1. Don't read this book and try to predict, just don't. Jami Denise keeps you on your toes throughout and of course the fire power and passion is intense yet again! This series is magnificent!

Flynn

It's all about Flynn, even though we don't really know what or how he feels. So much of this story I was in the dark, because both Flynn and Vince wouldn't tell Jayne anything, hence as a reader, I didn't know either. Most of the story was about Jayne searching for answers.
The ending was nice, a cliffhanger, but a good one. Not as good as book one, but I definitely want to read more about Jayne and Flynn and their next chapter in life.

Jami Denise has done it again. This book captivated me from start to finish. I adore her raw gritty writing style.

I fell for Flynn in the first book, but now...ugh, yep, that man is something else.

Jayne does a lot of soul searching in this book and I warmed to her even more.

I'm not one for plot spoiling, but if you want a gritty captivating read, start this series today. You won't regret it.

A great continuation (book 2) of a very original storyline. I really love the way Jami creates such rich characters with honest emotions. And the chemistry between the couple? Fan-freakin'-tastic! I would recommend you read book one--See Jayne Play--before you read this one. Could this one stand alone? Probably. But why deprive yourself of the goodness of reading both? :) Looking forward to book 3.

Great read!! So excited to see what happened next for Jayne and Flynn, especially after the cliff in book 1. What I love about this series is its not only hot and steamy, but also exciting, suspenseful, and full of drama. The twists and turns in the plot will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you enjoyed See Jayne Play, Queen of Hearts will not disappoint.

I normally get fed up with the whole tortured billionaire thing but this was different. I liked the fact that Jayne was a bit tougher than most but her wishy washy personality could get annoying after awhile. All in all, one of the better free books I've read.

Loved

I'm loving this series. I love characters that could be considered bad, broken, and unredeemable. Only as the story unfolds that isn't the case at all. This story line is amazing, and I can't wait to start Vinces story next.

Nah...Not a fan of this series. Which I believe I mentioned in the last review. I really DON'T like Jayne..I think she is pretty dumb. I don't like the way she thinks..at all.

----------spoiler below--------------

Jayne ends up in Oklahoma. She is in a relationship type thing with her boss Jackson (she got a job at his diner). She is their for almost a year. Jackson is great! He is loving, caring, sweet, and any girl would have been happy to have him. But not Jayne, because he wasn't dangerous.

Then someone breaks into her room. Turns out its VINCE. He is alive! That actually got me interested in the book.

The next day Vince is gone, so she packs up, leaves Jackson, and heads back to Vegas to find out what really went down that last night before she left town. She gets there and no one is telling her anything to "keep her safe." Of course Jayne won't take that answer and starts trying to find out what happen.

We find out Vince is working for Fylnn, Fylnn's dad is out of town in hiding. During these findings...Jayne and Flynn are working through their issuse. Naturally. lol

---------More to come--------------

Jayne has left Vegas, hurt by the events that turned her life inside out and broke her. She is determined to start a new life, but soon finds out that the past is never far behind. Once again being pulled back, she returns to Vegas where the battle of wills between her and Flynn resumes. She is hard pressed to stay away from Flynn and not give in to the feelings that threaten her sanity. Flynn is equally determined to make her realize they belong together. But as enemies continue to be hot on their heels, they understand that together they might be able to overcome anything.

This book was more action packed and fast paced than the previous one. Both Flynn and Vince got me mad many times during this book, but they were redeemed by the love they showed towards Jayne and the lengths they were both willing to go to in order to make sure she was protected. Flynn is such an Alpha and he always commanded attention. Vince is so secretive and I found myself intrigued to learn his story. I hope Jami gives that to us.

I really enjoyed reading this book and the series just continues to keep me wanting more.

I just love what Jami Denise did with this book. It is a fitting sequel to the first book but also quite excellent without taking the fact that it is a sequel into account. Flynn and Jayne make each other crazy but it works for them. Their chemistry and love for each other leap off of the page. This is definitely worth picking up!

Is probably give it a 3 1/2 or 3 3/4 if I could do half ratings. I like that the series wrapped up in a pretty bow but some of the character motivations didn't make all that much sense and this has a lot of telling and is missing some of the showing the first one had.

Great book. Flynn was alpha all the way. To me it could of had a lot of action in the plot leading up to the climax of the story, not a bad little read. Great price too.
