ANOTHER UPDATE: Pablo Del Monte will not run in the Derby.

UPDATE: Hoppertunity has scratched from the Derby.

California Chrome, winner of the G1-Santa Anita Derby in his most recent start and a winner of four straight races, drew post position five and is the 5/2 morning line favorite for Saturday's Grade 1 Kentucky Derby, the 140th Run for the Roses. Post time for Saturday's Kentucky Derby is scheduled for 6:24 p.m. Eastern, with television coverage provided by NBC. Broadcast of the Derby day under card begins on NBCSN at noon Eastern. Earlier coverage from Churchill Downs will air on HRTV.

Hoppertunity, runner-up to California Chrome at Santa Anita and the winner of the Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn earlier this winter, is the second choice on the morning line at odds of 6/1. Hoppertunity has been one of the notable "buzz" horses leading up to this year's Derby. The third choice on the morning line is Wicked Strong (8/1), winner of the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct.

Vicar's in Trouble, the front-running winner of the Louisiana Derby last month at the Fair Grounds in New Orleans, drew the dreaded one-hole and will have to do some serious running in the early stages in order to avoid major traffic issues through the first quarter mile.

The Derby field has one Alternate Entry in Pablo Del Monte.
