Among a field of 50 competitive bowlers, freshman
Maria Lucente (Elmont, N.Y.) placed 23rd after a 584 series in singles play (games of 177, 196 and 211). Lucente and fellow first-year
Kaliann Terry (Levittown, N.Y.) combined for a first-place pinfall total of 834 in doubles competition earlier in the day. With the overall women's division championship on the line, the day concluded with Baker competition against the United States Military Academy. The Lady Cadets took a 534-451 win to bring the title to West Point, to the dismay of the maroon and white.
The Lions will conclude their debut campaign at the first-ever East Coast Conference Championship, beginning on Friday, Mar. 25 at Heister Lanes in Reading, Pa.
