EAGLE SCOUT AND YOUTH AWARD RECOGNITION DINNER
NEW THIS WEEK
March 19, 2016, 6 p.m. Reception: 7 p.m. Dinner
Waterford Banquets - 933 S. Riverside Dr. Elmhurst, IL 60126

Join us for the inaugural Pathway to Adventure Youth Recognition Dinner. We will be honoring the class of 2015 Eagle Scouts, Venturing Silver, and Sea Scout Quartermaster recipients. We encourage all members of our District and Community Advancement teams as well as all Eagles and anyone else interested to come out and show your support for our Eagle Scouts.  This year we also celebrate the selection of Tom Bezouska and Tony Bezouska as Outstanding Eagle Scouts.

The ranks these young men and women reached took dedication and commitment. It is our honor to recognize them in a manner befitting their hard work in reaching the highest rank in their chosen program. Historically this has been the Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner, but the current NESA committee realized that youth in our other programs deserve the same recognition for their achievements. In Boy Scouts the highest rank is Eagle. In our Coed programs of Venturing and Sea Scouts it is Silver and Quartermaster respectively.

Our Keynote Speaker will be best-selling author Alvin Townley an Eagle Scout and avid outdoorsman. Alvin will be talking about his fourth book Defiant which reveals the amazing and untold true story of eleven American POWs . His other books are Fly Navy which explores the extraordinary people and enduring spirit of naval aviation; Spirit of Adventure introduces America to a new generation of leaders - young Eagle Scouts who are leading lives of purpose and adventure and Legacy of Honor which explores how Scouting has influenced American life.

DO YOU KNOW YOUR SCOUT ID NUMBER?  NEW THIS WEEK

Many of our leaders have more than one scout id number or do not know their scout id number. This number must be attached to your profile in my.scouting to be sure critical training such as Youth Protection is properly credited to your account and unit. You could be denied a tour permit without proper Youth Protection Training.

Check with your unit committee chairman and obtain the scout id number that is attached to your unit.
Go to www.myscouting.org and log in with your username and password.
Click on My Profile.

At the bottom of your profile you should see your scout id number and that number must be the same number that is listed with your unit.

If there is a different number, add the id number from your unit under Membership Information, and designate that your primary id number.

Remember the scout id number listed with your unit must be your primary id number. This will ensure that all training done on my.scouting.org will be properly credited to your unit.
If you have multiple id numbers and you need to merge the training information from these id’s to your primary number or if you need assistance please contact Bob Johnson at bjjj5456@aol.com
