Fort Hays State Volleyball welcomes No. 8 Washburn for Pack the Gym night at Gross Memorial Coliseum on Tuesday (Sept. 23).  The match is scheduled for 7 p.m., and is the final match of a three-game home stand for the Tigers.

FHSU (6-5, 1-2 MIAA) is coming off a week in which the squad picked up its first conference win of the season and nearly upset then-No.4 Nebraska-Kearney on the road.

The Tigers are led offensively by Mallory Flagor (161 kills, 3.83 kills per set) and Taylor Mares (101 kills, 2.59 kills per set), both of which were All-MIAA selections in 2013.  Flagor leads the conference in kills and is third in kills/set.

Outside hitter Teresa Wade had a breakout performance last week, hitting .517 with 15 kills and zero errors against Missouri Southern, and totaled 29 kills throughout the week's three matches.

Defensively, Keanu Bradley leads the conference with 217 digs on the year and is averaging 5.17 digs per set.  The libero was named MIAA Athlete of the Week on Sept. 13, and has five 20-plus dig performances on the year.

Washburn is led by the reigning MIAA Athlete of the Week Marissa Cox, who has 139 kills (4.09 per set) in 11 matches played.  Leanna Willer's 99 kills are second-best for the Ichabods, adding to her team-leading 15 service aces.  Defensively, Alyssa Carney had 156 digs for the year and Mattie-Ann Swenson leads the team with 36 blocks (five solo).

The FHSU Volleyball team will sign autographs postgame, with sharpies and team photos available.
