At 1236 hours on July 7, 2014, dispatchers received a 911 call of an 84-year-old male who had been up Farmington Canyon riding ATVs in the area of the beaver ponds. The caller stated the elderly male was in cardiac arrest and currently, an off-duty firefighter was on scene performing CPR.

Crews were sent from the Davis County Sheriff’s Office and Farmington Fire Department. When medical crews arrived, it was determined that the male was deceased, and possibly suffered from a medical condition however, the cause of death will be by the State Medical Examiner’s Office. The deceased had been riding with a group of people at the time of his death. The name of the deceased is being withheld, pending notification of family.
