Lets build our capacity to bridge the gaps in urban humanitarian

The worlds population is over 50% urban; by 2030 it is expected to reach 60%. Aid agencies in recent
urban emergencies have often lacked the ability to respond effectively in these environments. Urban
focused emergencies are increasing in complexity, regularity and scale as emergencies in urban settings
increase and the worlds growing population are increasingly located in urban environments.

You are invited to attend a forum to discuss the gaps in capacity building for
Urban Humanitarianism to ensure we as a sector respond more effectively to the
increasing number of urban disasters.
