Scans have cleared Tom Lynch of any serious damage following a sickening collision in the second quarter of Adelaide’s clash with the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba on Sunday.

Lynch was taken to hospital for precautionary scans after he received a heavy hit impact to his head and neck. The forward was taken from the ground on a stretcher after front-on contact with Lions opponent Justin Clarke.

Lynch has been given the all-clear to fly home with the team this evening.

Defender Andy Otten, who was also stretchered off in the second quarter, is still being assessed for a serious right knee injury. He will require scans to determine the extent of the injury.

The Club will provide more information once it comes to hand.
