Big Music Project – Karaoke Shower

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Copyright, Schools

There is no such thing as a regular day when you work for the IPO Campaigns and Education Team. But when the invite to tour with some of the hottest pop stars arrived we packed our bags and were on the road in a flash!

Alas, it wasn’t our musical talents that got us the invite, but the star of our campaign the ‘Karaoke Shower’. The Karaoke Shower invites the public to sing along to their favourite tracks in a specially designed shower booth. The campaign celebrates the importance of music to our lives, reinforcing messages on copyright, and its importance to a thriving music industry.

The tour we were joining is the Big Music Project, running this autumn in venues throughout the UK. Some of the biggest brands in entertainment support the project as well as artists including:

  • Plan B
  • Eliza Doolittle
  • Rhydian

The event gives visitors the opportunity to develop new skills and find out more about all the possibilities that the music industry has to offer. It helps young people who are looking for a career in the music industry.

So far we have visited Glasgow, London and Cardiff, next stop Belfast. Visit The Big Music Project to find out how to take part.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it to an event, you can still experience the ups and downs of managing a band by playing Music Inc a free to play downloadable game. This is available from Google play or the App Store.

If you are interested in the work of the Campaigns and Education Team and would like to find out more please follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin or You Tube.
