Volleyball wraps up run at Frostburg State

Senior running back Jake Forsythe punished the Saint Vincent defense to the tune of 33 carries fro 134 yards and two touchdowns in Waynesburg's 35-24 win over Saint Vincent on Saturday.

Yellow Jackets fall to host Bobcats and La Roche

FROSTBURG, Md. (Sept. 13) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team wrapped up its two-day run at the Frosburg State University Tournament with a pair of matches on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets fell 3-0 to the host Bobcats, before suffering a heart-breaking 3-2 setback to La Roche College in the late contest.
 
The Jackets (3-10) fell to FSU (7-5) by the set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-9. Sophomore Rachel Lang, sophomore Shannon Morgan and junior Kourtney Skinner notched a team-high five kills each in the loss. Sophomore Morgan Newbauer helped out with 17 assists, while junior Jessica Dorazio racked up 16 digs. Dorazio was also honored as a member of the all-tournament team.
 
Further information on the Jackets' match with La Roche (6-6) will be made available in the near future.
 
Waynesburg is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 17, when it travels to Pittsburgh to take part in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) tri-match hosted by Chatham University. The Yellow Jackets will face the Cougars and Westminster College.
