‘SPEND THE NIGHT’

LIVE VIDEO REVEALED

Q MAGAZINE - TRACK OF THE DAY

ROMES have revealed a stunning black and white live video for ‘Spend The Night’, recorded in their Toronto hometown.

‘Spend The Night’ is a glorious synth-infused indie-pop anthem, with pristine harmonies and handclaps that are reminiscent of Foals’ most danceable moments.

‘Spend The Night’ is the latest song to be taken from ROMES’ debut EP Believe, which has seen the quartet championed by tastemakers Noisey and featured as The Guardian’s ‘New Band Of The Week’. The band has also received Twitter praise from artists including Hozier and Lights for the EP, which has now clocked up well over half a MILLION plays on Spotify alone since its release.

The Believe EP was produced and mixed by Tony Hoffer (Beck, M83, Fitz & The Tantrums) and is a beaming, wide-eyed debut. The title track is a rippling indie-pop anthem, while ‘Tryna Be’ is a delicious slice of irresistible indie-pop, intertwined with groove-laden R&B and stunning electronics. Believe EP closer, ‘When The Night Comes’, is a glorious pop gem that sparkles with a similar musical dexterity to The 1975.

ROMES have quickly made their mark as one of the most impressive and exciting new bands today, rapidly building a fervent new fanbase with their beautiful sound.

“The Canadian four-piece resemble a modern Duran Duran, combining exuberant, funked-up pop with traces of darker, more risqué rock… ROMES sound giddy with possibility” The Guardian

"an indie-pop anthem replete with layers of unexpected percussion and rippling synths. Meanwhile singer Jacob delivers a topline melody that's lithe and catchy as hell."Noisey
