A highly decorated career for Goldey-Beacom senior Alexandra Smith (Pennsville, NJ) got even better as she was picked Honorable Mention Scholar All-East Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Smith, a Marketing Management major, had an incredible season that enabled her to be picked NSCAA third team All-East Region for the program's first such honor. She scored 12 goals for the fourth-best mark in school history and amassed 24 points for the fifth-highest total, helping GBC (9-6-1, 6-5-1 CACC) reach the Central Atlantic Conference Tournament for the first time since 2006.

She also ended the campaign fifth in the country with 0.923 goals per game and 18th with 1.85 points per contest. Among her highlights included four goals against Lincoln (PA) on September 23 and two goals on three other occasions.

Smith exits first in school history with 33 goals, second with 74 points and first with six game-winning goals.

Goldey-Beacom is slated to open the 2015 season September 4 at the Mount Olive Tournament in Mount Olive, NC.
