Subject : County Durham Fulfilling Lives Market Stall Event
The Peoples Learning Disability Parliament (County Durham) is
holding an event to be held on Wednesday 14
th
May 2014 at the
Durham Town Hall, County Durham. The event will start at 10am and
will finish at 1pm.
The event will give people who have learning disabilities and their
carers that live in County Durham an opportunity to network and to
get up to date information on services available to them. The event is
to promote better lives for people who have learning disabilities.
The day will include a variety of informal engagement methods
tailored for people with learning disabilities to help make it clearer
what contributes towards leading a fulfilled life.
There will also be a wide range of stalls to promote education,
training, careers, housing, health, (including the new County Durham
consumer Healthwatch), arts and leisure, information for people
with learning disabilities, their families and carers. There will also be
a free prize draw for people to take part in.
This is a free event, a buffet and refreshments will be provided.
We encourage people with learning disabilities and their carers from
across County Durham to attend this very important event.
