From New York Times bestselling author Melody Grace comes a story of passion, pleasure - and gelato!

Annalise is at a crossroads. She’s dedicated her life to dance, but now she’s wondering if all those missed dates and early nights will be worth the sacrifice. A trip to Rome, Italy is meant to re-inspire her career - but instead, she finds it opening her eyes to everything life has to offer. Like incredible food - and more incredible men.

Raphael is a dancer too, but his approach to art and life is like nothing Annalise has ever seen. It’s passionate. Wild.

Temptingly sensual.

As she’s swept up in the romance of Italy, Annalise questions everything she thought she wanted. But when old dreams and new passion collide, what will she choose?

Loved and can't wait for more!

*** ARC provided by the Author in return for an honest review***

I couldn't wait to start First Position once I read the blurb. I loved being introduced to these characters in this romantic city (This book made me want to book a flight there ASAP). Despite their amazing chemistry, it isn't an easy road for these two. Raphael wants her but she hesitant to fully give in to what she is feeling. Being part one, I knew this installment was mostly going to be the introductions, make me addicted, and pretty much end just as it was getting good as most serials tend to do. I was right but thank goodness Melody isn't making us wait to long for the next installment since it does in fact end on a pivotal moment leaving the reader craving more. I cannot wait to read the next installment and see what happens next!

Dancers story. Only about 100 pages. More like a prequel.

Melody is obviously a fan of dancing. This story revolves around dancing specifically ballet. Melody must also have a fascination with virgins and innocent young girls because this is another story about a girl turning into a woman. Melody seems to focus on people who are ruled by parents because this story is about a mother who sets high expectations for her daughter. Melody likes to write short stories separating them into long series. 100 some odd pages does not warrant enough to pay the high dollar amounts to complete the series. A series should contain an ample size book with a great number of words. This was more like a prequel.
If you enjoy dancing and reading about a young girls first time experience with live in Rome then I say go for it.
Rome, dancing, virgin, and stranger are the elements of this story. Living someone else's dream and Living under someone else's expectations and demands are the premise behind the story.
A dancers routine and schedule regime are carefully calculated. A plan is in place and everything is choreographed. This is the life of Annalise.

Not a complete story...

Please note, when buying, this is a serial story. You get a basic intro to the characters, but not a complete arc in this segment. If you're going to spend your money, you might want to wait until the whole story is released. This segment ends on a "cliffhanger".

The characters are young, and seemingly behave as such on an emotional level. The chemistry between principles is good and hot, but the conflict in the story has a very Romeo and Juliet feel, with the Adults being controlling, manipulative and generally bad. The secondary characters are there solely to provide dialogue for the principles and have little to no weight or real relevance.

The combination of the emotionally weak characters and overdone conflict has me less inclined to spend any more money on this story.
