PROFILE of Samuel Slotkin, president of the board of Hygrade Food Products Corporation, which operates 60 plants, wholesaling fresh, processed, & frozen meats. Hygrade sells practically every kind of meat, but Mr. Slotkins first loyalty has always been to the frank-furter. Among newly added by-products are woolens, cheese, vegetables, dog food, fruits, soap, fertilizer buttons, violin strings, coffee, spices, and mouton furs. Most of the plants are in this country, but a few are scattered as far away as Australia, Argentina, Africa, & China. Slotkin's favorite plant is in a town near Casablanca, which has changed its name to Slotkinville. Tells how Mr. Slotkin, a Russian immigrant became a meat packer, his relationship with his emplo ees.
