KING'S FOOTBALL PROMOTES MIKE CEBROSKY TO DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR

WILKES-BARRE -  When the King's College football team reports to camp on August 13, the Monarchs will do so with a new defensive coordinator.  Monarch head coach Jeff Knarr announced King's assistant coach Mike Cebrosky has been promoted to defensive coordinator.  Cebrosky replaces Kory David, who was hired for the same position at Delaware Valley College after one season at King's.

Cebrosky enters his third season as a King's assistant coach, spending his first two years coaching the Monarch defensive line.  With his new role as defensive coordinator, Cebrosky will now coach King's inside linebackers.

Cebrosky is a veteran of the Middle Atlantic Conference, having played his collegiate football at Delaware Valley College.  Cebrosky was a major contributor with the Aggies and helped the program to MAC championships in 2005 and 2008, including an undefeated (10-0) regular-season and a school-record 12-1 overall mark in 2005. He was also named the Aggies'  Team Rookie MVP in 2005, helping Delaware Valley to the ECAC championship that same season. While at Delaware Valley, Cebrosky started 42-of-45 games, missing 3 games due to injury. He was a D3Football.com "Player of the Week in 2008.

Prior to his arrival at King's, Cebrosky spent the previous three years as an assistant coach at Nazareth Area High School, coaching both the offensive and defensive linemen. In 2011 Nazareth posted its best season ever, finishing 12-2, winning the PIAA District 11 Class AAAA championship, and ranking fifth in the final Pennsylvania Football News State Rankings.  He is a 2003 graduate of Leighton Area High School.

Cebrosky owns a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary/Education/Social Studies from Delaware Valley College.

"Mike has been an extremely hard-working individual since his arrival at King's and we are excited for him to take on this new challenge in his coaching career," Knarr stated. "He has been an important part of the defense the last two years and we are very confident in his abilities as we continue to build up our program."
